Hi Dan! I just wanted you to know how much I love your music. Your voice is so pure, and heartfelt. Your lyrics are what's in my heart. "Open Sky" is the first song on my profile, and it makes me feel more upbeat, not as depressed, like a summer day, with the sun shining down on me from an "open sky". Thank you for what you do! God Bless You!

Dan!!! You are working in The States! This is wild news. I guess you won't be around Buffalo NY too much anymore? Or maybe you will on your way to ON once in a while. Keep up the good work. Mark W

Dan Macaulay

Canadian born, and winner of Canada’s 2007 Shai awards for “Worship Album of the Year” and “Male Soloist of the Year”, in Spring 2009 Dan released “The Listening EP” produced by Nathan Nockels. (Chris Tomlin, Passion, Matt Redman, Tim Hughes) Hanging out somewhere between the sounds of Michael W Smith and Jason Upton; Dan balances an engaging, infectious style with the leading of a pastor’s heart; effectively straddling accessible pop and passionate abandon.

Dan is currently recording a full length worship project slated for release in early 2011 and was recently in the studio working on a track for his as-yet-untitled project with Michael W Smith and producer Bryan Lenox. Also, producing the balance of the tracks for the album is Keith Everette Smith (Jadon Lavik, Meredith Andrews) The 3 songs previously released on Dan's "Listening EP" will also be a part of the project.

"The Listening EP" saw 2 of it's 3 tracks land at #1 on the Canadian AC CANCON radio chart and continue for long runs as 2 of the most played songs on Canadian Christian radio in 2009. Two of the 3 EP tracks were also nominated in "Song of The Year" categories in Canada's 2009 GMA Covenant Awards (Canada's Dove Awards) "Listening" for "Pop Contemporary Song of the Year" and "Amazing" for "Worship Song of The Year". "Amazing" was also voted into the top 5 worship songs in Chris Tomlin's "Frequency" Worship Resource website contest.

Having shared the stage with the likes of Mandisa, The Katinas, Avalon, Starfield, Kevin Max, Paul Coleman, Darrell Evans and Brian Doerksen, Dan is no stranger to the road. But with a heart for the local church, and as a worship pastor at his home church in Greenwich CT, USA, Dan endeavors to keep his ministry grounded and relevant; focused on serving pastors and worshippers. This is also the heart behind Dan’s weekly blog “Worship at Home & on the Road” www.danmacaulay.blogspot.com.

Written with the church in mind, several of Dan’s original songs, already sung widely, have been re-recorded by other artists who have recognized the rare pairing of congregation-friendly accessibility and uncommon depth. Most recently, Dan’s song ‘Win With Love” from “The Listening EP” was chosen by Worship Leader Magazine’s Song DISCovery® program to be included in their March/April release as a resource to their subscription base of 40,000 church worship leaders around North America.

Be sure to introduce yourself to Dan’s music today with an MP3 download on the house of his latest radio single, “Listening” at ..www.danmacaulay.com. You will be glad you did!
