Pianist Dan Nimmer, born in Milwaukee in 1982, made the move to New York in 2004. Currently he is the pianist for Wynton Marsalis' small bands as well as his Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra. You can catch him on the video IPod ad with Wynton as well as his latest Blue Note release "From The Plantation To The Penitentiary." There will be 2 more Blue Note releases yet this year (08). Nimmer also leads his own trio and has recorded 3 albums as a leader for the Venus label in Japan. The latest, "Yours Is My Heart Alone", features the great Lewis Nash on drums and Peter Washington on bass.
