Hi Dann, quick work. Yeah, I said that because everything is all about Twittter and FB lately, and I just don't see it. FB is like a gated community, keep out unless you know somebody. Twitter? Like I want to monitor a bunch of people's minutiae in soundbite format? I've met some great people on M'space. It still seems like the egalitarian musician's community to me.

Hey Dann, I actually got a gig at the Midway Café for October 14th. They have a solo night the second Wednesday of every month, and so I sent a Myspace message to David, their booking guy, and he got back to me saying I was penciled in and "unless something really crazy happens, we go to pen in a couple of weeks." If you want to check them out, go to myspace.com/midwaycafe. That Myspace account is the place to send a message if you're looking to book. It sounds like they only do solo act bookings on the second Wednesdays, so ask about October 14th (or any subsequent 2nd Wednesday of a month that happens to be free).
David did not say anything about compensation, so I don't know anything about how well the gig pays (if at all).
