Danny Maika is a twenty six year old, Huntington Beach raised musician, who has been performing music since he was 13 years old. When he was in the sixth grade he entered a solo recital where he found he had an affinity for singing and working a crowd when he sang the song "Stand by Me". He picked up his first guitar six years ago, and since then not a day goes by that he doesn't pick it up and play. With the guidance of veteran blues, rock and jazz musicians his skill on the guitar improved quickly. By the age of 21 he wrote his very first song and again found he had a knack for writing. Since then he has written many songs drawing inspiration from every aspect of his life: from his job as a gondolier, where he serenades lovers of all ages, to his huge interested swing dancing and giving swing dancing lessons. He also draws inspiration from family, friends, and life experiences. When you listen to his music, it can make you think of your own experiences and can even make you laugh at your own human nature. Whether playing music on the stage or alone in his room, Danny Maika always performs from the heart.

Hello! I am so glad I found your Myspace page, I absolutely love your music. You have such a unique, carefree sound. On October 16 I saw you playing at the GardenWalk near where I was visiting (first time in the city), and I didnt know who you were at the time, but I wanted to let you know that watching the fireworks and listening to you play with my fiancee' that night was absolutely incredible. Your music really made that night perfect. So thanks =] I hope to see you perform again!

Nice! That sounds like a cool album as well! I'm anxious to hear both! ;)
We could probably set up a show at The Gypsy Lounge if you want. I'm right in the middle of trying to get a band situation happening. It would be cool if we could set up a night where we get 3 or 4 artists playing. What do you think?
