Danny McCrum has been writing and performing for over seventeen years. He started young, spending his teenage years in recording studios and performing all over New Zealand and is now a highly regarded musician and entertainer. After playing in various bands, Danny put together the Danny McCrum Band early in 2006.
Some of the people Danny McCrum has worked with over the years include Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, Jimmy Barnes, John Mayer, Bryan Ferry, Joan Armatrading, Tommy Emmanuel, Nora Jones, Katie Melua, Hello Sailor and more.
Danny has become recognized and respected for his writing, his singing, his guitar playing and his soulful performances. He has worked with bassist Matt Harvey since 2000 and drummer Glen Child joined in 2007. The line up has since evolved into an extremely tight and collaborative band, with each of the musicians offering their own unique style and talent.
The band is known for being spontaneous live with lot of their show adlibbed, meaning no two nights are the same.
In November 2007, the band released their debut album ‘Awake & Restless’, which was produced by award winning producer Peter van Gent and in 2009 the band will be releasing their second album. (yet to be named)

Both artistic (ensure you get the background music!) and educational, it primarily comprises official British government civil defence advice.
Though source materials are quite aged, much remains relevant today.
