Sounds Like
"By this point, singer/songwriter Danny Michel must be a bit weary of being ranked as one
of this country's undiscovered musical treasures. But it's true" Vit Wagner THE TORONTO STAR
"Every time we hear a new Danny Michel album, we end up asking the same question: Why isn’t he rich,
famous and beloved by the masses?" Darryl Sterdan THE WINNIPEG SUN
"Danny Michel has reached a point where his musical vocabulary is so broad, his songwriting/arranging
chops so sharp, his guitar playing so distinctive and his taste for the right sonic touch so
impeccable that he can do whatever he wants and make it compelling"
Howard Druckman EYE MAGAZINE 5/5 STAR REVIEW
"He's a Canadian singer from outside Toronto. We met him when I was doing
festivals, just before I got sick... and I really fell in love with his records."
ALEJANDRO ESCOVEDO - HARP MAGAZINE
Just heard Tennessee Tobacco on Radio 2's "Shift"....another great song Danny!! (As you may have guessed, part of my job is listening to the audio that leaves the broadcast center....lol). I love hearing your stuff because it makes my job more enjoyable!! Happy New Year!!
I just read some information on-site here. Just gave some tracks a spin as well. Like "Lightening" Furs - heard that on radio one day while driving (not know it was you) and thought.. There is a unique character. It's different. The title of the song. Yesterday I heard some of your other songs and thought .. "I like Danny". You make the music I like. Now above it said the star said Danny Michel must be growing weary being labeled as one of this Countrys most undiscovered musical treasures.
I think you have been discovered because your a treasure according to your fans. I don't think all your music is "Country" It's a mixture and blend all of your own and it has many depth and many colors. Great melodies and you have a unique way to tell a story and get the point of view across Danny. Thanks for being a friend here. We need more music like yours.
Danny if you celebrate Christmas thank Merry Christmas. If not happy holidays. Music is a driving force and inspiration is contagious. Thanks for beiung Danny and making cool music.
Hey Danny, thanks for the friendadd. Loved your supportshow on Romi in Oss. See you tonight at the Paradiso. We can have some drinks after your early night gig as ne of your fellow canadian colleges is also playing the Paradiso tonight in the big room; Patrick Watson! It will be busy but fun! Say hi to Romi and tell her we are coming. We have to take the last tram back though but time enough to hang out :-)
Loved you at the Grape and Wine last year With Daniel Lanois. This year was Steve Page. I saw vids on YT when he was jamming with you! :) You rock!! Thanks for the add!! xoxo
Hey Danny, We caught 2 of your showes at the Rivoli. One with Band and one Solo. And as I said to you on Sat night, we enjoyed both equally. You are a very talented individual and very good entertainer. I will continue to help grow your fan base! Looking forward to the next show. Cheers! Andy
For a split second today I considered jumping on a plane to Ottawa...but I didn't have coffee this morning and couldn't motivate myself out of my chair. Have a fantastic show! xo
I just listened to the Bandwidth episode that will air later today....and I just have to say that I loved the part at the end with you and Dan singing What A Wonderful World!! I must go to the radio 2 website and listen to the entire show!! BEAUTIFUL!!
