With influences ranging from John Mayer to Aerosmith to Prince, Dan Purser’s style of acoustic rock and soul is characterized by complex rhythms, unexpected melodies, and a vocal style full of energy and emotion.
A Seattle native, Dan is a self-taught singer-songwriter who first took the stage at age 18, performing his own original compositions. His live performances are intense and heartfelt, and clearly show his passion for music.
Having developed a large and loyal fan base, Dan plays over 200 shows a year, including local Seattle venues such as the Showbox and Triple Door.
Dan is also represented by the national Association for Campus Activities (NACA), the country’s premier organization for booking talent at college campuses, and has played at over 90 universities across the country.
Dan recently released his second studio album, a six-song self-titled EP, which he is supporting with an extensive North American tour throughout most of 2009.
After the tour winds down, he is planning on returning to the studio to record a follow-up full length album, which he plans on releasing early next year.
