Dante's Inferno Documented, now in post-production, is the long awaited serious attempt in the film industry to bring to the screen the most famous book of the The Divine Comedy trilogy, INFERNO. This documentary which started filming in Italy during February, 2008 and continued in the United States in August, December, 2008, January and February 2009, has finished production. This documentary was narrated by Jeff Conaway and produced and directed by Boris Acosta, the current producer of the live action feature trilogy presently in pre-production. For more information, please visit our official website.
The Official Poster below is the artistic combination of art designer and art director Boris Acosta and illustrator Awik Balaian. The background is one of the walls of Hell with the souls lining up to be judged by Minos. The banner cannot be other than the "Banner of Hell" Dante talked about in his literary masterpiece, which is carried by the sinners before they are taken by Charon across the Acheron river. The colors as well as the images on the Banner were carefully chosen. The Colors - red depicts the blood spilled in suffering, gold depicts the evil way to dominate humankind and black depicts the modern evil tool, oil. The images - the snake is the queen of all sins as portrayed in the Bible; the trident - the most popular symbol of Hell itself which demons use to punish the souls that populate it; the star - a five point star, pointing down, is Satan's symbol on Earth, the arrows - demons' tails; finally the eagle represents all the evil empires in humankind history.

THE DIVINE COMEDY MASTERPIECE
The Divine Comedy book, written by Dante Alighieri, is about Dante himself narrating his travels through Hell, Purgatory and Paradise. He encounters many souls with whom he speaks and learns about each one in the circles where they are found. Dante's mission is to learn about all passages of the afterlife so he can tell humankind (YOU) about it.
This book was written almost 700 years ago in Italy during Dante's exile from Florence. It is strongly suggested that you read this book to learn about your own existence and life as a whole, as well as the afterlife.
THE GATE OF HELL
"Through me the way into the suffering city,
Through me the way to the eternal pain,
Through me the way that runs among the lost.
Abandon every hope, ye who enter here."
L’ ENTRATA ALL' INFERNO
(…)
Lasciate ogne speranza, voi ch’intrate.”
Canto III, 1-3, 9

Dante's Inferno Documented's Friend Space (Top 40)
Merci !
I was a double major in college, Medieval Studies and Italian, with a passion of La Commedia. So, I am extremely excited about this project. Dante definitely is one of the greatest poets ever, and the Commedia one of the greatest piece of literature in human history.
