"Darkham - Age of War (Urban Scrumping.) Aside from the excellent label name, there's much to praise about this intriguing newcomer, who makes this very bold entry on to the scene with a style of his own. 'The Last Ritual' sets the pace: a dramatic mix of Wailing Wall-style vocal intonations, 'Exorcist'-type keys and gritty synths. Producer/MC Aggi Dukes collaborates on 'Inner Storm' – another compelling track. Unique sampling style, and a filthy, filmic vibe makes Darkham one to watch."
DJ MAG
Darkham sounds like brutal destruction in its purest form.
The combination of apocalyptic beats, earth shattering bass and all round sonic annihilation, results in a monstrously heavy sound laced with dense orchestral textures and industrial overtones which will push your speakers to their limits!
Darkham’s hardcore metal roots can clearly be heard in his music, but his own musical productions are still punishing enough to take on the heaviest Dubstep tracks on the dance floor.
"AGE OF WAR" EP
Age of War explores the heavier side of Dubstep, and results in a varied collection of songs, featuring haunting gothic vocals, irresistible synth hooks and the overall dark and grimey sound which Darkham creates so well.
It also features a collaboration with London based MC/Producer Aggi Dukes, on the soulful grooves and unrelenting amen assault of “Inner Storm”.
All 6 tracks demonstrate Darkham’s uncompromising approach to production, and clearly show that he is a producer to watch out for in 2008.
