D-A-R-K Records is proud to present its fourth CD release, the debut album of Dark Summer - The Tale Of A Broken Switch And The Lizard (DARKCD004) 2009, mastered by Electrypnose at Intellinoise Studios.
It has been quite busy behind the doors of In Audio We Trust Studio during the last year. After digital EP – Who murdered Lynch? Slovenian artist Dark Summer reached for a new goal with interesting concept, which is to bring a great variety of styles in one art package.
The tracks on this album are very different one from another; from deep and flowing 135 BPM Mind, Mistery and Misfortune, to blasting without mercy 150 BPM Automatic Swallows. Also there are two collaborations with mystical music of Faxi Nadu on the disc.
Get into The Tale Of A Broken Switch And The Lizard by Dark Summer accompanied by Faxi Nadu!

D-A-R-K is proud to present its third compilation VA - Ra-Con-Teur (DARKCD003) 2008 mastered by Electrypnose. Through this VA compilation, D-A-R-K crew based its idea on the Raconteur, an old form of verbal art essentially practiced in countries to entertain the crowd and gather people in a festive ambience. Ra-Con-Teur, storyteller, ought to make you go back in time even before the beginning of Civilization. You will hear a mixture of fairly new upcoming artists and well established projects as follows: Jam on ZeD, Devic, Distorted Goblin, Electrypnose, Noisy Pipes, iLmush, Malice in Wonderland, Brain Panik, Troglodytes and Crazy Ducks.
VA - Ra-Con-Teur (DARKCD003) 2008, like the two previous releases on CD, is also a conceptual release. For this release, we intended to bring back Goa’s origins into today’s music style of psychedelic trance in its pure essence.
VA - Ra-Con-Teur (DARKCD003) 2008, D-A-R-K Records – Tribute
Raconteur: [Ra-Con-Teur] in English, Raconteur means Storyteller. We name Raconteur, the ones that tells a story verbally without any other support than his knowledge, his imaginary and his improvisation talents. The art of telling stories differentiates itself from the written stories, read stories and from simple recitation.
The Raconteur, traditional or modern, deploys his talent in public places, meeting places. Exercising a proximity relation with his audience, the storyteller would animate family evenings and nights in rural areas, and subsequently, during afternoons and evenings for larger publics. As anything else, the art of Storytelling evolved and was introduced under the projectors, still keeping an intimate relation with a restrained public.
Storytelling is the ancient art of conveying events in words, images and sounds. Stories have probably been shared in every culture and in every land as a means of entertainment, education, preservation of culture and to instill knowledge and values/morals. Crucial elements of storytelling include plot and characters, as well as the narrative point of view. Stories are frequently used to teach, explain, and/or entertain. Less frequently, but occasionally with major consequences, they have been used to mislead. There can be much truth in a story of fiction, and much falsehood in a story that uses facts.
Traditionally, oral stories were passed from generation to generation, and survived solely by memory. With written media, this has become less important. Conversely, in modern times, the vast entertainment industry is built upon a foundation of sophisticated multimedia storytelling.
This is what you can expect with VA - Ra-Con-Teur (DARKCD003) 2008, a psychedelic story reminding about the origins of the electronic psychedelic culture starting from its foundation, Goa! Each track on this V.A. compilation has been carefully chosen to revive the Goa memories through modern flavors of psychedelic trance. The selected artists are, one after another, telling their own stories, showcasing their musical talent (knowledge), their creativity (imaginary), and their ability to fascinate the audience and perform (improvisation talents).
Set your feet on the dancefloor and let the Ra-Con-Teurs amaze you with their psychedelic stories, each unique in their style!

D-A-R-K which stands for Digital Audio Record Kompany is a digital record label focusing on releasing Psytrance, mainly dark twisted full on and dark psy.
With the Internet now being a viable source for obtaining music, we see this as a platform to promote the growing number of producers in this genre at the same time also see the threat of file-sharing, leading to a rise in piracy, which we feel is unjustifiable to the hard work and the efforts taken by the artist in producing their music. Over the past years we have also seen the emergence of net labels. Depending on the ideals of the net label, music files from the artists may be downloaded free of charge or for a fee that is paid via paypal or an online payment system. Some of these labels also offer hard copy CDs in addition to direct download. Most net labels acknowledge the Creative Commons licensing system thus reserving certain rights for the artist.
Digital Labels are the latest version of a "net" label. As where "net" labels were started as a free site or just a hobby point, digital labels seek to give the major record industry a real run for their money. One of the pioneers of the major digital label is Fiberlineaudio. The rapid growth in the number of people producing electronic music worldwide has raised a situation where not all artist get a fair exposure to showcase their talent and the ability to sell their music and this is where net & digital labels have begun to play a key role. Hence, D-A-R-K would be performing purely as a "Digital Label" releasing selected contributions that is mastered and compressed to professional standards ready to be delivered in digital format (Flac - Free Lossless Audio Codec). Out of every track sold $ 0.60 goes to the artist and whatever left after paypal fees would go for the server and website maintenance. Music on this site is Copyright (C) by the respective authors as listed on the site and in the ID3 comment. The artist would be signed in agreement.
If you would like to get your tracks published with our record label please get in touch with us by sending an email to darkrecs@gmail.com and we shall give you the FTP address where you could upload your demos which would help us to decide the potential of publishing your work with our record label.
Adviruz is the artist psedonym of Istanbul’s Pinar Gurcan, whose growing passion for sound is translated through her music. Since an early age, she has been listening and mimicking opera singers, writing melodies, songs and poems in which she spoke her mind and reflected her soul. All of which are evident on "Nightly Sounds", an 8 track album which is the equivilent of having a glimpse into a diary, learning of love lost, gained, a snapshot of the human condition from which we can all draw experience... All of these things are developed musically into minimalistic glitch, noise, idm, experimental music and microsounds, its influences reminiscent of work by artists like Tujiko Noriko, Mira Calix, Plaid and Björk.
Adviruz and Section 27 present "Nightly Sounds", an intricately woven and rewarding musical tapestry. Available now for free download.
Almost Tomorrow is the third full length collaboration album from Section 27 Netlabel founders Tam Ferrans and Andrew Paterson, under their Nonima & theAudiologist guise. This time around the sound is more melodic, and has a definite feeling of a complete and more mature sound than heard on the previous LP's "Dystopian Battle Hymns" and "Ceremony After Amputation". If you are familiar with their individual projects you may even be in for a slight surprise, as the tracks are not as beat driven like before, but are more atmospheric and sound, well... "bigger". In its 75 minutes, Almost Tomorrow takes you on a trip from the digital rain-soaked cavernous scraping in "Thoughtograph", the ethereal beat jittering of "The Colour of Rain", intercepted transmissions from unknown places in "Com-Intercept", "Ganzfeld"s huge yet strangely insect-like beats until everything you knew comes crashing around you in "Almost Tomorrow". Burning pianos, glitched out soundscapes and intricately programmed beatplay, this may well be their best work to date. Consider it the soundtrack to a rainy overcast day, but with just that glimmer of sunshine peeking from the clouds. "Almost Tomorrow" wears its heart on its sleeve.
Just dropping by to say Hi and see what you’re up to and how you are doing.
As always, wishing you well. Stay positive, productive & purpose driven.
Peace
Michael
