Sonic nomads in search of that perfect, blazing, incandescent wall of sound, Das Ludicroix was the brainchild of late, lamented Larry Boyd. Surrounding himself with a loose guild of musicians, Larry led Das Ludicroix to a series unlikely triumphs that would be indistinguishable from disaster apart from the cheering and applause (which is what makes all the difference).
Evolving from the ashes, ruins, and assorted flaming fragments of other bands Larry had been involved with, Das Ludidroix rose up from his home base in Middleboro, MA in the early 1990s. They reached the height of their powers with appearances at the Strange Daze 1999 and Mandelbrot Sets 2000 spacerock festivals (in Ohio and Connecticut, respectively.
Tragically, shortly after these appearnance, Larry was diagnosed with a degenerative brain disorder and in the spring of 2003, after a heroic struggle, he moved on to the Great Jam Beyond. But his music will never be forgotten by we earthbound souls who knew him and were inspired by him.
Rock on, Larry! Rock on, Das Ludicroix!
