I am sorry to inform you all that after a short stint of dates later in the year DSP will be no more. A shift in priorities of various members has meant that we won’t be able to commit ourselves fully and feel this would be doing the band, the team around us and most importantly you all a disservice.
We would like to say a huge thanks to all the people that have helped us along the way, anybody that has come see us play and all the bands we’ve partied hard with. For working hard on the band with us we would like to thank Al and Peter, Mark Ngui, Matt Hughes, Steph Seager, Nick Harnett and Dirty Alex. Special thanks to Judge, Steve and Cheska for helping us lug our shit around day after day, sharing sleeping bags and generally putting up with us on tour without the utterance of a single complaint. There’s almost certainly loads of people we’ve overlooked, if so we’re sorry and we love you.
Some of us have a new project in the pipeline that we’re very excited about so watch this space for more on that very soon.
In the meantime, here are a couple of brand new DSP tracks to get you in the mood for the upcoming shows, you can also download them for free at drop.io!
Thanks again to you all, its been an amazing few years that we will cherish for the rest of our lives.
"the release is just over 20 minutes in length, with enough hooks to keep abu hamza happy all year, and will almost certainly provide the soundtrack for many future indie club nights. it is not overshadowed by one particular stand out track, with each song presenting a valid case to be considered as a single. 'hanging out with humans' is a great release!"
- ALTER THE PRESS
"'no girls allowed' mixes math rock and pop together to create the catchiest British summer anthem since Blur's 'Parklife' in 1994."
- ROCK SOUND MAGAZINE
"maybe what minus the bear would sound like if their sole goal was to get you shaking your moneymaker, this is a wonky grooved winner." ('no girls allowed' no. 1 in '10 songs you should hear right now!')
- KERRANG! MAGAZINE
"indie headonism wrapped up in four minutes flat!"
- STEVE LAMACQ
"twiddly guitars, disco beats and snappy street choruses from data.select.party, whose combination of soul, style and sing-a-long potential should see them rocket."
- TIME OUT LONDON
"careening through a rapturous (wheeey!) twenty minutes of les savy fav-inspired frenzy, data.select.party allow no room for inertia. handclaps? check. intertwining, spiky clean guitars? check. group shouting? check. disco party? You bet!" (the social in london w/ dartz!)

Such a shame. Great band. You guys need to put a full length together with all your stuff on one album like your mates in Colour did. It would be a must buy for a lot of us, I know for certain. Best of luck with all you pursue.
Good news... We're playing at the Barfly on Friday 30th Oct and you're invited. Tickets includes the club night after the gig. Check the event here This is our last gig of the year (we're out of money and have had to retreat to native homelands for home cooking and arguments) so its gonna be a gooden. Love & Group sex BB x
