I'm very lucky to get to play music with some of the greatest musicians New York City and Ireland have to offer. Fiddle players, Matt Mancuso,Vonnie Quinn, Mazz Swift and Ken Vesey. Banjo players Frankie MacCormic, Donie and Pio Ryan. Button accordian player John Vesey. Female Vocalist Susan Wendelken and Kathleen Fee (Mazz & Vonnie too). Guitarist Walter Ensor and Oscar Bautista. Bassist Pat Dineen and Tony Steel. Percussionist Shane O'Sullivan, Kathleen Reid and Brian Tracey. Soprano Sax player Rob Mosher. And that was just last week........check all these musicians out, they are truly the best around.
Influences
The Partridge Family, The Brady Six, Josie & The Pussycats,The Osmonds, The Archies, Tommy & The Action and most importantly THE FAB FOUR: Potsie, Richie, Ralph & Chachi.
Sounds Like
Hopefully at least a little bit like the above influences with bits of irish tunes sprinkled in
Hi there, my name is Dave.I'm a drummer/guitarist/singer/songwriter
from Queens, NY. I'm very lucky to get play music just about every night of the year with some of the greatest musicians NYC and Ireland have to offer in just about every NYC area Irish Pub. The amount of amazing people I've met and good times I've had doing this is completely unable to be put into words. I play with several bands to showcase my songwriting including TRIGGER featuring fiddle player/vocalist Mazz Swift, I also play in ALTERnaTRAD, featuring vocalist Susan Wendelken, who is the greatest singer ever to open her mouth and SMIRK featuring Fiddle Player Vonnie Quinn and Percussionist Kathleen Reid. We mix traditional Irish tunes with the pop tunes you'd least expect to hear "Irished Out". I also play drums with CELTIC CROSS, one of the most well established and respected Irish bands in the US. All these great musicians , bands and people i've mentioned as well as more of my music and a bit more about me can be found at www.davebarckow.com. Please check my schedule and stop by for a drink. Thanks for listening.
I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4

If you have a band and would like to work in western central Massachusetts, I may be able to help book you. I started NC Booking back in '89 when I was booking a few bands from Scotland and Ireland. Now, 20 years later, I'm still booking great roots music acts. To find out more, visit http://northamptoncommunity.ning.com where you can REGISTER. Thanks!
Hi Mr. Dave, I was just popping by to say hi and hope that all is going well your way when I see that you are being inundated with comments from de Emerald Isle. I am working away here with gusto on my art and to be honest...in need of a holiday with a few spacecakes thrown in for good measure. Hope you are still rocking up a storm with your talent and music, Love Ann x

Hi Mr. Dave, hope that life is treating you good and kind and that you are having a ball. I am sure that you will have the Easter eggs worked off you over the coming w/e from all the gigs that you will be doing! I am back on my sunny isle and working my ass off doing my art......I should have the most toned ass on the island by the time I am going back to Dublin. I hope to return for an encore and stay a few months working and getting my act together in May. I am only back here 2 weeks as my 6 week holiday turned into 4months+!!!!! I hope that the Easter Bunny is good and kind to you and spoils you to bits! If you are in Irlanda over the summer when I am there maybe our paths will cross and I ll see you in the hall again! Take care and have fun, Love Ann x PS. When I was at home I kept hearing that song "Galway Girl"...it forever reminds me of you as I really enjoyed how you did it....so from now on I am brainwashed that this is YOUR TRADEMARK song! I ll always think of you when I hear it!!!!!
