Once upon a time, there was a left-brained boy who was good at math and science and nuclear physics and stuff.
Although he liked to read a lot and appreciated art, he never expressed himself other than taking pride in writing very clear and concise scientific summaries.
He noticed that others' writing sucked for the most part and was determined to find out why and NOT do whatever they were doing that sucked.
His right brain was waking up, and he learned to do some art with Photoshop, which greatly pleased him.
During this time, he was married, parented, then unmarried (but--NEVER unparented--nuh-uh!).
He also had a personal best running streak of 10 days. Then he decided to break that streak and hasn't missed a single day of running (about 2 miles) for over 30 years.
Finally, after he had a revelation about what made fiction interesting, engaging, and not sucking--he wrote the mystery MIRACLE MYX--which went on to become a bestseller.
