Australian Hard Rocker, DAVE EVANS aka King Of All Badasses, is known and respected worldwide as one of the five founding members of "AC/DC". Dave was also the human dynamo out front of Australian wild rockers "RABBIT" . Other hard rock outfits include "DAVE EVANS & THUNDER DOWN UNDER". Dave has performed his own brand of classic hard driving rock in Europe and the USA to rave reviews.

Former AC/DC singer Dave Evans is back with his follow up to his 2005 CD, “Sinner”.
I enjoyed “Sinner” quite a bit, so I was anxious to hear what the Aussie King of the Badasses had in store for us, with his new disc “Judgement Day”. Dave brought in his writing mate Mark Tinson to craft nine new tunes to get you rocking. If you are familiar with the sound of Australian pub rock, then you will know what to expect with this CD. You get a bunch of hard rocking tunes with loud guitars that will get your blood pumping and I have to admit that “Judgement Day” sounds way more original and “back to the roots” compared to AC/DC’s “Black Ice” and it’s needless to say that Dave Evans beats Brian Johnson vocals by miles.
Dave Evan's "Judgement Day," is another collection of unapologetically stripped-down and irresistible hard rock songs.
The opening track, "We Don't Dance to Your Song," sets the tone for the entire CD with its rebellious attitude and driving rock sound. The tunes that follow run from the serious ("Another Boy on the Street") to the just plain fun ("Little Headbanger," "Band Molls") to in-your-face ("You Talkin' To Me") to the surprisingly poignant and powerful "Ain't Gonna Do You To Me."
Throughout, Evans sounds great. His vocal style is re-strained yet strong ... sort of like Ronnie James Dio without the operatics ... and his raw talent fits particularly well with the songs that probably gave him his nickname: "The King of All Bad Asses."
The CD ends with a rousing cover of "House of the Rising Sun." Many artists have covered it, some successfully, some not so much. Thankfully, Evans' version falls into the former category.
"Judgement Day" may not offer much in the originality department but I never expected it to. It is unabashedly what it is and I love it for that.

Thanks to a new deal signed with the label DA Records,
from 25th September the album Sinner, realized by the
great singer Dave Evans, will be available on the
stores in a new, reprinted version.
Dave Evans was AC/DC founder and first singer in the
first vinyl called Can I sit next to you girl ,
released on 1973, which is the first work from the
australian band formed by Angus & co.
Sinner has a really huge impact thanks to Back on the
firing line, a powerful and catchy song. The singer
has a deep, hoarse and strong voice, useful to create
a winning musical excerpt.
You can totally breath a 100% rock atmosphere
listening to Take Me Down Again, an amazing song which
is able to thrill every listener, giving a lot of
adrenaline, like feeling yourself getting out from a
running train. Sinner sounds like a typical boogie –
rock song, showing off an hot atmosphere balanced by a
perfect combination of scream voice and powerful
guitars. It sounds sharp like a true rock song. I
think that it’s hard to choose the best song, cause
this is an explosive album, full of energy, which is
able to grasp one’s audience from the beginning till
the end.
For sure it’s impossible to resist music, listening to
Sold my soul to rock ‘n roll, one of my favourite
songs, definitely a rock ‘n roll hymn, rough and wild
thanks to an hot riff and a fiery refrain underlined
by an amazing voice, which is the true protagonist of
the whole song.
I’m writing about a true, pure and fast album,
composed by twelve songs that really could win one’
spurs. Ladies and gentleman, we have a sharp, “cult”
cd reprinted ready to be listened and if you’re
looking for a fucking rock n’ roll, well, this album
has been “served up” on your table.
REVIEW FROM GOREZONE MAGAZINE BY GARRY CHARLES
DAVE EVANS
SINNER
DESTROY ALL RECORDS
In an age where rock music is being replaced with tags
such as neu-metal, emo and gothic it is a genuine
treat when someone turns around and sticks two fingers
up and screams ‘fuck you, I’m doing what I want’.
Now, don’t get me wrong. I love rock in most of its
forms and enjoy listening to everything from
Whitesnake to Nine Inch Nails. Newer bands such as
Disturbed, Seether and the sadly split Creed can’t be
beat when sat writing, but I have a love for old style
rock that is just bang your head brilliance.
With that in mind you can imagine my surprise when I
make contact with DAVE EVANS, original front man for
AC/DC and self confessed badass of rock. We get to
talking and he offers (very kindly) to send me a copy
of his solo album SINNER. I wait patiently for it to
arrive and rip away the packaging in eager excitement.
I waste no time in sliding the shiny disc into my
player and ready my ears for pure rock n’ roll.
And, fucking hell was I in for a treat!!!
SINNER is one of those albums that grabs you by the
scrotum and drags you back to an era when Rock music
was just that…ROCK N’ FUCKING ROLL, BABY.
I was immediately grasped by Dave’s voice; a mixture
of GENE SIMMONS (KISS), DEE SNIDER (TWISTED SISTER)
and BRIAN JOHNSON (AC/DC) that has then been fed
through a super amplifier and cranked up to full
volume. Take this voice and place it amongst some of
the catchiest riffs since ALICE COOPER and you have a
fucking winner. After only a couple of listens I found
myself singing along as if I had been a member of the
band from the start, banging my head until my brain
hurt.
SINNER is 100% undiluted hard rock, an album brimming
with sound and energy. It’s rare to come across an
album that embodies what rock is all about and does so
with never a filler track in sight. Each and every
song does exactly what you would expect. I can’t wait
to see what the badass of rock does next.
Dave Evans originally arrived in Australia from Carmarthen Wales, aged five, and settled in North Queensland with his family. After forming his first band In Session in Charters Towers when he was seventeen he moved to Sydney where he helped form a band (no name yet!) with Malcolm Young, Colin Burgess and Larry van Kriedt - a week later Malcolm's younger brother Angus joined. Malcolm and Angus' sister-in-law Sandra came up with the name AC/DC - to signify power and energy - and so one of the greatest rock and roll bands ever was born! AC/DC's first gig was at Chequers Nightclub in Sydney on New Years Eve 1973 and the band went on to attract a strong live following in the next few months before recording their first single - Can I Sit Next To You Girl b/w Rocking In The Parlour. At this time Angus started wearing his now famous schoolboy uniform and with their single racing up the national charts AC/DC undertook a grueling tour beginning at the Sydney Opera House and then playing to packed houses all around Australia. Life on the road is tough for any band and frictions and egos increased steadily until a punch-up between Evans and their manager made life on tour unbearable - and a split between Evans and AC/DC became inevitable. Bon Scott was a friend of Malcolm and Angus' elder brother George Young (a member of the legendary Easybeats - Friday On My Mind - and a well-known Australian record producer with Harry Vanda) and had seen the band perform in Adelaide. He agreed to join AC/DC, by this stage one of the most promising, new and exciting rock bands in Australia, and he and the band went on to rock and roll immortality as one of the biggest bands in the world. After parting ways with AC/DC Dave Evans moved to Newcastle just north of Sydney and joined up and coming hard rock outfit Rabbit in early 1975. Rabbit were already the number one rock band in Newcastle and the surrounding area and Dave had seen them performing at Chequers nightclub in Sydney and was impressed with their confronting stage presence. It wasn't long until they had signed with CBS records and recorded their first album "Rabbit" which had some success. In 1976 they recorded the album "Too Much Rock And Roll" and with their appearances on the numerous television pop/rock shows this album launched them into national popularity. Rabbit were described as frenetic, violently hedonistic and Dave himself was described as savagely heterosexual. Rabbit after-show parties were always wild affairs and popular with friends, fans and groupies. The "Too Much Rock And Roll" album was then distributed in Japan, Germany, France, Luxembourg, Holland, Finland, Sweden, Norway and Denmark. Although sales were steady Rabbit did not tour these countries as two members called it quits after a grueling three month Australian tour. The band continued after adding a new drummer and released the single "Let Me" but it wasn't the same feeling without the two original members and the band folded in 1978. Dave Evans and Thunder Down Under was formed in 1984 and he signed with independent label Reaction Records and released the album - Dave Evans & Thunder Down Under.. After Dave Evans and Thunder Down Under split a couple of years later, Dave pursued an acting career with roles in small production Australian films plus working in live theatre. In early 2000 Dave was invited to be a special guest for Melbourne AC/DC tribute band Thunderstruck for their 20th anniversary memorial gig for Bon Scott. This special occasion was recorded live and A Hell of a Night was released through Perris Records. Dave has since performed in Europe and the USA as a solo artist. His classic rock album, SINNER, was released to worldwide critical acclaim and the track "Sold My Soul To Rock n Roll" was nominated at the 2007 LA Music Awards. JUDGEMENT DAY has now been released also receiving great reviews !!! Dave has of recent years been based in Dallas, Texas and is currently touring Australia.
