David Amo and Julio Navas are one of the best-known teams of DJ's/Producers in the musical scene, and their direct contact with one of the most avant-garde cities (Barcelona) —where they were born and where they embarked on their musical journey at the young age of 16—has turned them into highly respected, solid professionals.
As of the outset they have always worked in their own studio, "El laboratorio de sensaciones" (The Sensations Lab) , which has provided them a string of hits. They are now the owners and directors of Fresco Records , which according to the critics is ‘the most innovative electronic house label" and it's easy to see why: Awarded Best Breakthrough Label (2005) and Best Electrohouse Label (2006) by Deejay Magazine (Spain); plus Best House Track (Electronic Electro) by DJ ONE Magazine ; and David & Julio came third as Best Tribal, Progressive and Electrohouse DJs according to Deejay Magazine (Spain) 06.
Their long experience with the turntables is supported for by their well-known residences in Barcelona's most prestigious clubs and by their countless sets as guest artists in major events as Creamfields or Kaballah and clubs in Ibiza, Paris, Moscow, Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Miami, Rotterdam, Mexico, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Tokio (Japan), Seoul (South Corea), Morocco, Poland or Germany and many other countries all over the world with 90 gigs on 2007. They have also been featured on the cover and in the main interview in the March '06 issue of Deejay Magazine Spain, cover and main interview of DJ Planet magazine (July' 06) and cover and main interview of DJ One magazine (January 08).
Their productions have been licensed to companies all around the world and included in the compilations of prestigious DJ's, and their tracks have been remixed by figures as important as Steve Angello & Sebastián Ingrosso (IN-N-OUT "EQ-Lizer"), jackit sounds UK, Wally López, Taito tikaro or Andrea Bertolini to name a few. They have also been invited to take part in interesting projects with people such as John Acquaviva , D-Nox & Beckers or Nick & Danny Chatelain.
Some of their releases have reached important top ten charts several times, "Memory Cell" in conjunction with Amo, Navas, D-nox & Beckers, has been a major hit and was number 1 for two weeks at Beatport.com. It made Amo and Navas the focus of media attention again, with interviews in DJ UK (Dec ‘06) and DJ ONE (Dec ‘06).
They are also the creators of remixes for Ralphie Rosario (Brinca) Tweek..d, Trentemoller (Rykketid), Wally López (Shake It Like), Nick & Danny Chatelain (Morocco's Festival), Rinocerose (Get Ready Now), David Guetta ..Love is gone.. and DJ Tocadisco's ..Better Begin.. etc., in addition to all the Fresco Records production.
David and Julio were the resident djs in Cassagrande So Fresh Festival that took place every Friday morning through the summer of 2007 in the best after club in the world Space Ibiza and they are also resident DJ..s for Space Ibiza Wolrd Tour.
They have also recorded several compilations as DJs, among them Technics "The Original Sessions"—in several volumes. Their image has also been used for several brands, such as Technics and Playstation.
There can be no doubt that these well-known artists are on a roll, since they are much in demand in cities all over the globe, to which they travel loaded with the best music around to make their magic.
