Apparently .... the Juno Sound Track, But I'd prefer to sound like a cross between the Penguin Café Orchestra and Beirut ... I'll keep working at that
M.E.N City Life Review July:2009
David Leach, launches into a one-man ukulele-led set complete with occasional noise from a pre-recorded backing band.
His songs, including Sirens and Don't Change, are uncomplicated ballads about everyday life, with witty anti-hangover track Forget Regret being something anyone can relate to.
Afterwards, a tray of CDs with knitted cases and woolly armbands circulates, making for a weird, but stand-out move.
Hi I'm Dave... I'm a lancastrian with a ukulele (nothing new there you might think) but i also have been known to play with, a DD-5 drum machine, a casiotone MT-46, and a glockenspiel.
I can do a lot with Wool, and can be found after gigs trying to flog a verity of woollen goods to the general public. I knit my own CD covers, Wristbands and Hats!!!
I'm always up for a bit of collaboration, so if you like my stuff and would like to have a go at making something just let me know
Its been selling faster than we expected, and we currently only have around a quarter of our stock left - so we thought we'd better you all know that if you want a copy then now would be a good time to pick one up! If you buy it from the link above then you're buying it direct from us, the label aren't taking a cut - so its a bit like Fair Trade for struggling musicians.
International mail-order is available, just follow the instructions.
Thank you very much, and sorry for making a mess of your profile. If its any kind of consolation, we don't have a MySpace bot, so I'm leaving these comments the old fashioned way. Three -and-a-half thousand of them. My life is so exciting.
ta for the add, I've moved in over the way from the Kings Arms in Salford. Manchester's ok, I learnt the hard way about avoiding the city centre at the weekends though. So whereabouts in Brum are you, or are you more manc based?
Hiya! Depreston certainly has it's good bits, mostly the bits that are in parks, but there are some stunning walls also. We should probably make everybody eat a butter pie some-day, I've been initiating people ever since moving out of deepest darkest lancashire where we all only stopped working in cotton mills 6 years ago. I like yr music, and will try and come to one of your gigs in Chortlon, mhm. x
Thought you were fab again tonight! Really looking forward to playing with you on the 7th. I'll dig out my yellow wristband for the occasion, I leant to a friend and haven't had it back since christmas which is dreadful.
