Writing a screenplay is a big challenge for me. I've been in television for twenty years. Movies...are for a much larger palate. My dream is to bring the Beatles White Album to the big screen. It's a mythological story about Mother Nature's Son, who travels from Nirvana to Earth in search of his human father, there he meets Prudence, Julia, Bungalow Bill, Rocky Racoon, Sexy Sadie, Honey Pie and all the other memorble characters the Beatles have so vivdly lamented as he struggles with his identity and the journey to return to the heavens to be with his true love. Another subject matter I'd like to tackle is euthinasia. I have this little movie I wrote called THE DELIVERY BOY about Lenny Clemens, a mercy killer who euthanizes the patrons along his delivery route in order to liberate them from their seemingly hopeless lives. It's a comment on American medicines failure to properly attend to the wants and needs of those suffering intolerable existences as they near the end of their life cycle. Another screenplay I love came to me from an actor/writer friend of mine Malcolm Danare (Lords of Discipline, Christine, CSI Miami) It's a rock mockumentary about an air guitar player who changes the face of rock-n-roll as we know it. If you loved Spinal Tap. If you loved Forrest Gump. You'll love this screenplay. It's my favorite and the best I've written. Thank you Malcolm for bringing it to me. Above is a scene from The Shield. One of the best written shows on television. As an actor and a writer I love television. At its best it affords me the opportunity to enlighten, entertain and educate an audience who desires to be engaged. Currently, I have four projects I'm developing. The most provocative is FOR THE LOVE OF SEX - a one hour erotic drama that involves a sex therapist and his sexually dysfunctional clients. Over the life of the series we will examine the unexposed sub-culture of human sexuality juxtaposed against a typical American family in West Los Angeles, California. Next is MALIBU SPIN AND DRY - a half hour single camera comedy that pokes fun at recovery in the vein of Reno 911. If you like irreverent comedies you'll love MSD. You may get offended, but I promise you won't be disappointed. CHATSWORTH - is a half hour reality hybrid that takes a look into the lighter side of the porn industrty. Sex is an 8 billion dollar a year business and if you could mainstream it you could easily 36 Double D your revenue stream. Dolly Diamond is our star. She has a dream and her destiny is to fulfill it. Finally there's SISTER SULLIVAN - my pride and joy, my baby girl, my lucky leprechan. SS is a racially diverse one hour drama about an inner city immigrant community whose hopes and dreams revolve around what a boxing club represents; a sense of pride, a sense of identity and an oppotunity for the underpriviledged to overcome their circumstance. It's about a boxing nun, who wants to move the church into the 21st century, while steering the disenchanted youth in her faithless community away from the drug infested gang culture by bringing spirituality to their lives.
Can a nun, in a landscape dominated by men, incite enough pressure to help change their views of chastity, celibacy, abortion, safe sex, integrated marriages and family values, while helping the kids of her corrupt neighborhood return to the straight and narrow. Tune in and find out. It's an amazing story of hope and triumph as each character we meet struggles with the reality of the dream they're persuing while hiding the secrets they've been keeping from each other. If you would like to make any inquiries about these projects you can contact me or Tim Angle at 323-602-2335.
Heroes
What is a hero? The Hero and the Coward are the same person. The only difference is the Hero walks through his fears, attaining his goal, which in turn gives him the courage to stride on to his next endeavor. The Coward, on the other hand, shivers at the daunting task in front of him. Seemingly paralyzed, he retreats within, returning home he beats himself pitiless, wondering why he accomplishes nothing. My heros - Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. - Jesus - The Dali Lama. Fear is an evil and corroding thread that was woven into the fabric of my existence. Each day I combat my fear with a simple prayer - "Dear God, please remove my fear and direct my attentions to what you would have me be." At once I commenced to outgrow fear. Thank God, my Hero of Heros.

Mr. Marciano is a professional actor who has achieved considerable success in a vast career that has spanned over nineteen years. Initially, with the portrayal of Lorenzo Steelgrave in the critically acclaimed CBS series Wiseguy, his skills and capabilities as a consummate professional were recognized, and he entered the world of network television with a continuing role as Jeffrey Lassick, the bicycle messenger, on the Steven Bochco series "Civil Wars". His other series credits include the highly regarded CBS drama, "Due South", created by Paul Haggis, in which he portrayed Detective Ray Vecchio, the irreverent Chicago cop. While on "Due South", the Canadian Academy nominated David, two years consecutively, for a Gemini Award. Below is a scene from the Due South episode "Juliet Is Bleeding" It features David with the amazing Carrie Ann Moss. This scene was shot in one take at four thirty in the morning on the eve before Christmas. We all caught a plane back to Los Angeles that mroning at six a.m.

Most recently David has joined the regular cast of the FX emmy winning series The Shield as “old school” Detective Steve Billings, where he has just completed his third season. For more on this project go to www.fxnetworks.com and click on Cast and Crew.
Mr. Marciano's other credits, include a starring role as Giorgio, in the CBS mini-series “The Last Don” and “The Last Don II”, as well as a recurring role as Len Mildmay, editor and chief of the Hartford Examiner on “Judging Amy”.
When he's not recurring he always has time to show up for a dead body (even if it is a rodent). CSI: NY is a great show. A character David hopes will return to the scene of the crime for an indepth, verbose analysis of forensic investigation.

Among the projects of which he is most proud, was his participation in director Leslie Dektor's Cleo Award winning commercial campaign, for "Partnership for a Drug Free America".
Though currently living in Los Angeles, it has always been his desire to "give something back" to the state of his birth, and the city of his youth, Newark. And it is this loyalty and passion for New Jersey, that has animated his desire to help create and stimulate, the founding of the Garden State Film Festival.
In July 1998, Mr. Marciano was selected as a Honorary Chairman of the Greater Newark Chapter of the New Jersey State Opera Guild for his contributions to the arts.
Mr. Marciano is happily married, and the father of three amazing children.
Who I'd like to meet: MARTIN LUTHER KING JR - JESUS - THE DALI LAMA - KIM POSSIBLE -- Professionally -- MARTIN SCORCESE - FRANCIS FORD COPPOLA - JOHN SAYLES - BRIAN DE PALMA
