Hailing from Geelong in Victoria, Dawn of Retribution utilise many styles of extreme metal in their delivery of one uncompromising aural experience. Coupled with a crushing live performance, the band has worked hard since their inception in 2007 to earn them a respected reputation in Australia's metal scene.
In just their first year on the live scene the band held their own alongside the heavyweights in Australia’s metal scene including Psycroptic, Blood Duster, Altars, Alchemist, Five Star Prison Cell, The Ocularis Infernum among many others.
After tearing apart a years worth of audiences and winning the praise of both their band peers and a wide scope of music fans with their original compositions, furious live show and seamless execution, it was time Dawn of Retribution began to consider a studio recording. The band decided not to mess about with unimpressive EP releases and instead to jump straight into a full length album for their debut.
“The Plan to End Humanity” will be recorded during the Australian winter of 2009 and the band will hit the live circuit soon after in support of its release.

"I have no doubts in my mind that this demo will lead to a record deal for the band. This is a band that would go over very well with fans of the modern take on thrash metal. The songs are heavy and hard hitting and manage to be interesting with a variety of rhythms and an energetic vocal assault. This band comes highly recommended."

"It's very rare that I get surprised by a demo of a band, but Dawn of Retribution sure managed to do it. Their death metal is pretty modern while it has a very raw and brutal production. With this they've succeeded pretty well to create a sound of their own."

"These folks have been dosin' heavy on the testosterone and in many ways represents just what metal needs. I'm very impressed and am looking forward to a full length in the near future....."
