Daybreak Medusa is what happens when you take these five musicians from different backgrounds and influences, throw them in a room together and tell them to play nice. Sometimes its beautiful and melodic, sometimes its ugly and aggressive. Its this dynamic that not only inspired the name Daybreak Medusa, but also separates this rock band from all the rest. There are no off-limits with this band's creativity so you can never know what you're gonna get with each song. The only thing you can count on is being rocked with memorable verses, catchy hooks and intense live performances. This style and an ever growing fan base has earned Daybreak Medusa spots on many stages opening for national acts and has helped this band win its share of competitions. Despite these successes and gaining recognition, Daybreak Medusa continues to be about the fans and has raised money for many causes such as cancer research, tsunami victims, and for families who have lost loved ones in war and other tragic circumstances.
In 2008, then known as aEstyria, the band took a break from playing shows to write some new material and work on improving themselves to take it to the next level. What emerged was a hungry and driven Daybreak Medusa and a much anticipated EP entitled "Stand Alone". This four song sampler was recorded at Pound£Sound Studio by James "Fluff" Harley and Jeremy Tappero of World Record Productions and mastered by none other than Vlado "The King" Meller of Universal Mastering Studios in New York. Vlado has mastered some of the top artists in the industry such as Kanye West, Fall Out Boy, Lil Wayne, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Audioslave, System of a Down, Ozzy Osbourne, Slayer and list goes on and on. Watch for a fully recharged Daybreak Medusa to re-assert themselves as one of the top Midwest acts with this release and their new plan of attack! "Stand Alone" is set to be released in April 09 and can be purchased online from iTunes.
Daybreak Medusa has appeared with the following national acts: Filter, Five Finger Death Punch, Helmet, Powerman 5000, Drowning Pool, Bloodsimple, American Head Charge, Machina, Bobaflex, Rikets, Facecage, Stuck Mojo, and Young Capone

£leTriKa sounds completely different from any Metal band you have ever heard. The Brazilian rhythms and the Portuguese language added to the songs makes its style unique, giving birth to a new kind of Metal. If you are really looking for something new about Metal, you should check £leTriKa out!
