One day two friends (sXe John and Chris Reject) came up with an idea to release music on a format that noone gave a crap about anymore. With that great idea, Dead Format Tapes was created.

Max Lysobey	Apr 25 2008 8:49 AM Seriously, music formats shouldn't completely disappear when a new one comes around. I mean, should we completely ignore the fact that cassettes exist? Sure, they have their problems, but CDs? They're just as problematic. It's like VHS vs. DVD. VHS is a much more reliable format. DVDs completely stop working if they're a little worn or scratched. A VHS tape can get fucked up too, sure, but you can watch the entire movie from start to finish. There's no fear of "skipping." The entire switch from analog to digital creeps me out. And awesome! I'll be sure to visit again in a couple weeks to buy the new press.
