"...it just rips your nasal hair out and then replaces it with velvet"
Matthew Straker on Summer Cruisin'

All you Facebook users can now become a fan of Dead Leg here.

The Band:
Formed by old friends from the Cotswolds, Dead Leg came together in Leeds in 2005. The band’s aim was simple: to play some good old-fashioned ballsy rock music. Since then, the band have released a demo, been received well both by fans and the local music press, and are gigging all over the country in an effort to bring a fun and energetic set to like-minded rock fans.

Whether it be the fast paced ‘Summer Cruisin’’, the funky sleaze-fest ‘Pucker ‘n’ Blow’ or the 6 and half minute epic ‘Two in the Bush’, there’s always a playful energy and attitude to rock every crowd to it’s core. Guitarist Chris Catling provides guitar pyrotechnics and devious eyebrow manoeuvres, Bassist Boz Burley brings funky riffs and eminent stage presence, and Drummer Chris Kershaw raises the decibels on his own with his confident, punchy drumming. Put all this together and you get a sleazy, boozy, no-nonsense rock band who don’t care if it’s bad for your health.

Dead Leg have so far shared the stage with such bands as:

Phluid; Screaming Mimi; Rob Galloway; Inhuman Bridal Convulsions; The Meanwood Valley Rockers; Checkpoint Charlie; Gratiz3; Exoterik; Riff Raff; Dreamcatcher; Shit The Bed; Project Metropolis; Goggle-Eyed Psycho; The Symptom; D.I.D.; Aporia; SubVersion; The Vendettas; Kid Cosmic; Castilia; A Poetic Yesterday; Elysium; Rag Doll Girl; The Schizos; Sanity Falls; Smile Poltergeist; Cherry Hooker; Lavellion; Messini Assault; Strangetime; The Nervous Shakedown; Entos; Antique Scream; Travelling North; TH3; Kelly & The Kellygirls; Denied Mercy; Serious Sam Barrett, Gentlemans Pistols; The Infected; Elohymn; Jezebel; Tytania; Geek; Whipcord; Sidewinder; Concrete Bullet; The Buzzkills; The Hyde; The Alturnative; Amber292; LazyBaby; The Screaming Priests; Actionier; Lesser Known Breed; Souljacker; Chakra; InSoFar; Accident!; King Nothing; Motiv; Motaro Wins; BB Blackdog; Dark Entity; Jason Wakefield; Mighty Evan; Lifescreen; Boss Caine; Leodis; Electric Mud Generator; Tunji; Lapels; Alt Track; Vessels; The Cliques; Red Go, Green Stop; Smilex; Black Hats; Savage Henry; Rubber Duck; Tristan & the Troubadours; Bear in the Air; Ivy's Itch & King Harry!

After moving out of Wakefield I kind of felt as though I was "letting
the side down" as it were. Consequently I have now created the
"Wakefield Music Scene" forum in the hope that it will bring all
Wakefield's live music lovers together in one happy place! for years I
have thought it would be handy to have one gig guide for easy
reference, along with resources for musicians, as well as being a nice
place to chat to one another.

Please check it out at
http://wakefieldmusicscene.lefora.com
I would love to hear your feedback on there.

Many thanks and kind regards

Hello,
We are playing the lovely Cardigan Arms on the 21st of March, being foreigners from Sheffield it would be grand if you could pop in and see us and bring a few other Leedsies with you if you are free.

Here are a few nice things people have said about us have a listen on our page and see if you like what we are up to:
Reviews:

"AN AMAZING LIVE ACT, I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE THEM AGAIN" (Sandman Magazine)

"AN IMPRESSIVE SET FROM A BAND WITH A KNACK FOR WRITING CATCHY SONGS AND DELIVERING THEM LIVE AS WELL AS IN THE STUDIO" (Sandman Magazine)

"PROMISING SONG WRITERS" (Tom Robinson, BBC Radio 6)

"THESE DAYS I FIND THRASH AND POWER POP A BIT REPETITIVE, BUT THIS WAS REMINISCENT OF MORRISSEY WHILE STILL BEING PERSONAL, I HEAR THE POSSIBILITY OF A GOOD FUTURE. IT SOUNDS TO ME LIKE YOU COULD SUPRISE US ALL ONE DAY".
(Paul Gambaccini, BBC Radio 6)

Anyway it would be nice to see you there.

Cheers
Russ

Hello, we are foreigners from Sheffield that will be playing Leeds on the 12th of December at the Cardigan Arms. It would be grand if you could come and make noise for us, as Sheffield folk are far too frightend to come to a big city like leeds.
