Decimation has been founded in Ankara in 1999. In 2004 demo "Helpless Souls" have released and received many positive reviews from
fanzines & webzines worldwide. Line-up in Helpless Souls was, Emre Uren and Erkin Ozturk - Guitars, Mustafa Karakus - Vocals,
Semih Ornek - Drums.
Around autumn 2006, the band has recorded their debut album "Entering the Celestial Ruins" at Midasin
Kulakligi studios at Ankara with Erkan Tatoglu (Suicide). Demo members Mustafa and Semih replaced with Volkan Ceyhan(Vox) and
Kaya Ozgen Yalcin(Drums) in the album. "Entering the Celestial Ruins" was released from Hammer Music
in early 2007 and it received so many positive feedbacks.
Now, Decimation is working on new songs in 2008 and looking for a new label since the expiration of the contract with Hammer Muzik.
New promo song Nocturnal Chaos was uploaded in July. Decimation is working on new album expected to be realesed in early 2009.
