I hope we will eventually see something about the Libertarian candidates. Wait! I hear you... "they don't matter, why should we care..." The reason for the tiny influence Libertarians have is just that: MSNBC and others tell you nothing about their part of the race. Watch the Libertarian nominating convention this weekend (you might have to go to C-Span for it). Bob Barr is now in the race, and there will be quite a fight to determine the nominee.

This has to be the most pathatic election year I have ever seen! There is not one good canidate on either party. Only the rich are able to run for office, make it possible for a hard working middleclass man to run for president because I am tired of millionares telling me that they know how tough things are out there..

"Barack Hussein Obama and all of his talk will do nothing for our country. There is so much that people don't know about his upbringing in the Muslim world. His stepfather was a radical Muslim and the ranting of his minister against the white America, you can't convince me that some of that didn't rub off on him.

May 12 2008 12:58 PM

I did my own hypothetical on a delegate counter...

Even if the following occurred:

Clinton wins 98% in WV, 85% in KY, 58% in OR, 60% in SD, 78% in MN, and 74% in PR
With Obama getting the rest and 51% of the supers (just because that's the way it's heading)

Obama still wins the nomination.

The only way he can lose now is if he entirely stops campaigning and we know that won't happen.

OBAMA 2008!!!!!

May 12 2008 6:44 AM

could someone plz tell me what the deal is with everyone saying Senator Clinton should just drop out? is that what America is about? quitters? there is a process for a reason. so the process is being used to it's completion, so what. that's what it's there for. i obviously don't know who will win the nomination but i do know i would NEVER vote for someone who talked about quitting. my vote would go to the republicans if Sen. Clinton TALKED about quitting then somehow managed to pull this nomination through.

May 11 2008 9:48 PM

Well the next few primaries will be absolutely pivotal as to whether Senator Clinton can survive or not... Obviously.

May 11 2008 7:04 PM

I'm not American, but like others we're watching from the other side of the world.

Change is hard but necessary (not only in America), just curious how badly the average American is willing to stand behind the process of change which can be very painful? Leading the change is one big choice, but being the change is a much bigger choice and still all about you.

Good luck America. We're counting on your choices as it affects us 10,000 miles away!

Obama Supporters:

Please stop with all the harassment and negativity towards the Clinton supporters. You are hurting the cause, and are making it tougher to unite the Democratic Party. Please stop!

Hillary Clinton supporters:

Please stop with the threats and insults. I realize many Obama supporters are gloating and taunting you, which is disappointing and wrong. I wish this wasn’t going on. However, it's important that you rise above the petty taunts and stop threatening to vote against the well-being of our nation just because your preferred candidate will not be in the race. Voting for a Democrat, regardless of who he/she is, is absolutely critical this fall. We're all depending on Clinton supporters everywhere to see the big picture and help the Democratic Party take back the White House, and help our nation begin recovering from Republican policy blunders at home and abroad. We need you, there's no denying it. Please, please, please unite behind Obama and help the cause. We're in this together.

LOL ok lets go down the list, to the McCain Supporter who talked about vets needing to do it themselves and that the government owes them nothing, (which by the way is all you are really saying...lmao as well as showing just how some people can be true elitists) Sorry to burst your bubble but there are vets who have come back from war to messed up or in the ex stream to disabled to as you say "pick themselves up" hey i think its great you did it, but to keep Bush's idea that people should do it themselves is kind of messed up, if they are coming home disabled then an education bill will help train them in new areas so they can get on their feet. America had done a poor job taking care of our war vets here in the past 8 years and it will stop.

Now for the Clinton supporter who thinks that Obama is a shady guy, and is nothing but an elitist and such, here is some new for you about good old Hillary that you might have over looked.
1. During the Monaca scandal the first lady stood by her husband saying that he did not sleep with that women, and she said she had no idea of what was going on. so here is my question, if she doesn't even know what is going on in her marriage, then how can she answer that phone at 3am? even with that when she does answer the phone since we know what happened's when she is tiered. will she tell people that while on her way to that phone she was under sniper fire...lmao
2. She has supported this war since day one while Obama has been the only one running this year who was against it from day one. Clinton has shown time and time again that she has no problems changing her mind in order to get votes.
So you talk about shady? man wake up and smell the coffee. Hillary is two faced, yes obama has even said he is not perfect but at least he will say what he feels and more to the point stand by what he says.

And to my friend who thinks Clinton should be on the Ticket, i do enjoy your opinion, but i have to disagree on

OK, I don't see Keith Olbermann on this page, that show is the sweet therapy I need to get me through this election. I am from Florida and voted Obama, but I knew when I voted that Florida was penalized . Whats all the big whoop now- why do all the rules keep trying to change in midstream?? Thats a great message. If Florida voted Obama, you can bet Hillary wouldn't be fighting so hard for our "rights".

Washington Transcripts (What is really being said in DC)

We don’t create homeless veterans; they do it to themselves. My Veterans Administration supports veterans who support themselves, not them that whine about what they been put through and not getting enough education benefits. Look at John McCain and myself, we are both Vietnam era and we didn’t need no education benefits. We both picked ourselves up by the boots. We are both shinning beacons of what these homeless vets can be, beacons standing on a high hill of compassionate conservatism.

From the blog that is all about political hacks betraying democracy!

Are the superdelegates bying into the General election polls that Clinton can beat McCain? The republicans have not begun to dig up her dirt. and When the do, it will be nasty. If Rev Wright is the worst the clinton's can come up with, the Obama will be great against McCain.

I am so sick and tired of hearing about the votes unseated in Michigan and Florida. So fine add the votes in Flordia. That still will not get Hillary the votes she needs to take over the popular vote or the delegate count from Barack Obama. The DNC made the rules and now people are crying about them. Hey if you can't play by the rules then don't play at all. And as for Michigan goes I do not agree with any of the delegates to be seated from that state due to the fact that not all of the canidates where available on that ballot.

May 8 2008 10:28 AM

White, uneducated voters are being touted by Clinton...when can we stop playing the race card? Why can't it be about the issues and AMERICANS, not black or white or asian or hispanic???? We need to come together as a party and a country to work toward CHANGE

It is so hard for me to even look at Hillary now with her new flaunt of the "white vote"...I'm white, live in Florida...according to her, I didn't vote for her because i have a college degree.

Doesn't seem like something to brag about to me...

May 8 2008 10:23 AM

The democrats will not win if Obama and Clinton are not on the same ticket. While I am an avid Obama supporter I have a ton of more conservative friends and they are fully behind Clinton and will only vote for the ticket that she is on. If the democrats mess this up once again I will NEVER vote democratic again because obviously they dont have their sh*t together...SUPERDELEGATES STOP ACTING LIKE P*SSY'S AND PICK A FRKN NOMINEE SO THIS PROCESS WILL END. PICK OBAMA OR CLINTON, if you cant...then why did you ever become a superdelegate??

May 8 2008 10:12 AM

Dear Mrs. Clinton, Mr. Obama and
Mr. McCain,

I am an undecided voter.

All I hear is change, change and change. If you really want to change America, you need to really look inside our country. Not for show or for the vote.
I don¹t think any of you really understand the American people. Many
Americans struggle every day, whether it¹s money or health. Our country is
hurting from the economy, the war, gas prices and the cost of health care.

Health care is big issue for me. If you want my vote you need to fix the
health care system. The price of health insurance is far over the cost of
what people need to pay. The insurance companies kick a woman out of the
hospital 24 hours after she has had a mastectomy or even a baby. This is
insane. You are not physically or mentally ready.

To be 37 years old and told you have breast cancer is awful. (I am a
survivor of almost three years.) When someone has no insurance it's the hardest
thing. You don't worry about the cancer. You worry about how you can afford
to survive. I have a family of five kids and a husband who works
unbelievably hard, up to 80 hours a week, and still can't afford health
insurance. Then to try to pay the medical bills puts more stress on you. How
can someone heal yourself and live if you can't afford to be sick?

What are you going to do for my family, for our country? Can you fix
America? Can you REALLY do the things you say you're going to do? Can we
trust you? Can you make the gas prices go down? The oil companies seems to
keep having record profits. What are you going to do about it?
When you get in the White House will you say,

'Oh I'm sorry, I can't do that."

So, candidates what are you going to do for my America? What are you
going to do for the young men and women who fight so hard for our country to
be free? What are you going to do for our amazing vets? What are you going
to do for my
Chris

May 8 2008 7:10 AM

I watch every morning... luv ya'll.

So, I have heard now that Clinton and Obama agree to some early arrangement regarding Florida and Michigan. Isn't there, then, a document showing they agree to this early arrangement? And, if there is such a document, now that Clinton is trying to change her previous possible acknowledgment of how to handle Florida and Michigan, this previous agreed-to document should be raised high for all to see.

She agreed to this... and, now she wants to do something else. She can’t have it both ways.

She is pandering once again... my opinion.

BTW, I am for Obama.

May 8 2008 6:03 AM

The super delegates were set in place to protect democrats from being swept up in that “rock-star” mentality. So what happens when the supers are swept up as well? We get Obama as the democratic nominee and, at best, a president who says one thing to the American people and something else behind closed doors in order to “seal the deal” (i.e. NAFTA with Canadian leaders and more recently a shady deal with the Teamsters) who has poor judgment in people (Resko and Rev Wright). Sounds a lot like George W. and that is the last thing we need.

It is time for the supers to stand up and do their job. Sometimes doing the best thing for the country means exercising good judgment that is contrary to the current fad by looking to the future. Super Delegates need to vote for the person who cannot only beat McCain, but also who can lead the country into a strong future. The supers need to grow a backbone and vote for Clinton.

Even if they seat Florida and Michigan, she still doesn't gain enough pledged delegates to make up the difference.
