DJ Quickie started to spin at 1993. At these good old times he started to explore electronic music on the pirate satellite radios and later also on CDs.
Gradually he gained knowledge of different styles and by recognizing various expert communes his view of the scene developed from Jungle breakbeats rhythms through Rave to hardcore Techno and Gabba, where he landed for couple next years. 1994 is a year when Quickie with a bunch of friends opened first pure underground Terrordrome club. For next 2 years DJ Quickie dedicated his time and talent to this venture. Visitors of Terrodome club could enjoy not only Rave, Techno or Gabba, but also various other styles like Acid, Trance and House. In the beginning when he played from CDs was Quickie inspired mainly by German and UK scene. As he started to spin a true vinyl his audience started to hear clear influence of label such as Tresor, Sativae, Scandinavia, Subhead or Nova Mute. In 1995 Quickie joined Radical Records agency and together they organized the first techno party in legendary club KNAK in the town of Teplice. In 1997 this joint-venture brought up the first open air festival named Cosmic Trip. DJ Quickie is still a resident on this festival which grown into one of the biggest and beloved open airs in Czech rep. Followed next successful series of festivals like Tranzz, Bassement, Technox or annual party in Bartolomeus Church. Armed by experience from these events and already as respected DJ, Quickie hits the clubs and festivals all over the CZ and later to Germany. His sound is influenced by strictly, funky, minimal rumbling and floating beat wrapped in dynamic creaky and squawky noise creating ecstatic athmospheric space.
His favorite Producers are Cristian Vogel, Neil Landstrumm, Subhead, Tobias Schmidt, Michael Forshaw, Si Begg, Alexander Kowalski, Heiko Laux, Joey Beltram, Juan Atkins or Matthew Herbert.
Finally in 2001 he opened COMIX club in Teplice where is also Resident. In 2005 Quickie travels across the Ocean, where he visited set of Clubs in Chicago and Detroit and played beside by many respected Djs and producers.
2006 he found a new house and minimal project called panTau. Finally 2008 resurrect Radical Production and with friends promote 13th issue of Cosmic Trip festival at Ústí nad Labem. tbc
