DEEP ELLUM is deeply rooted in the Blues/Rock tradition of the great Texas artists combined with the eclectic sounds of Funk and Jazz, a sound that one newspaper called “Texas Funkadelic”. This sound is straight out of the Deep Ellum area of Dallas, Texas where scores of musicians have played for decades.
Comprised of four talented pro musicians featuring three lead singers, DEEP ELLUM has recently opened for such artists as CMA recipient, Lee Roy Parnell; Grammy winner, Johnny A.; and The Bone Shakers. DEEP ELLUM has also performed at the Best of The West Nugget Rib Cookoff, the Rolling on the River Concert Series, and the Sand’s Pool Party Series.
DEEP ELLUM has tight grooves, great musicianship and a sound that is accessible yet unique.
