The foundation for the band originated from front men brothers David and Scott Brantley of Dublin. Each seemingly born with a guitar in his hand, the brothers decided to take their gift of music to another level. The band’s namesake, Deepstep, is proudly acquired from the hometown of drummer Tommy Jolley, (a location which also serves as the sight of weekly practice rehearsals). Add experienced bass man Jason Rushton and you've got a country band headed straight for the top of the country music charts. Deepstep's music spans a wide spectrum of eras cleverly merging the classic country sounds of all-time favorites such as Merle Haggard, George Jones and Conway Twitty with the newer generations of country music from artists such as George Strait, Alan Jackson, Kenny Chesney, Brad Paisley, and Keith Urban. Strong lead vocals, smooth multi-part harmonies, breathtaking solos and a fiery stage show has earned the band rave reviews from media insiders and fans alike. Being a Christian is like being a pumpkin. God lifts you up, takes you in, and washes all the dirt off of you. He opens you up, touches you deep inside and scoops out all the yucky stuff-- including the seeds of doubt, hate, greed, etc. Then He carves you a new smiling face and puts His light inside you to shine for all the world to see.
