Sounds Like
His solo stuff stuff sounds like Richie Havens meets Elvis Costello. Or Tracy Chapman... with balls. The soundtracks sound like soundtracks made with the Flat Duo Jets's production qualities as inspiration.
DeLonde J. Bell is a multi-genre, multi-instrumentalist and songwriter who started out in 1990-something in Chicago as a composer, original participant of the experimental Sheep Fiends, keyboardist for goth band Tears of Isis, and a leader of the acoustic neo-alt-folk act Catfish Hunter. By the turn of the century, DeLonde moved to Oregon and went solo with the acoustic stuff, played drums for legendary goth-pop band Once in the Sun, read poetry with the Irradiated Poets a member of Radiant Theatre Productions and realized his dream of writing soundtracks for independent films (The Glue that Binds, Behind the Shower Door, Saving Roy, Lord of The Rings)
While still doing the solo neo-alt-folk and writing scorers, DeLonde is the bassist for Penguins On A Rock as well as the co-conspirator of Ego and the Ids and released two albums, Pearls and Phoenix Door.
DeLonde is in a constant creative burst with no signs of slowing down.
