Sounds Like
the perfect American roots-based band that we in the band felt needed to exist! ROCK'N'ROLL, plain & simple. Gotta have a beat and ya gotta move yer feet!
The Delta Kings started in 1993 and 14 years later, Terry, Bill, Kenny & Cody remain steadfast to the cause of rock'n'roll and together, this original foursome have played over 750(!!!) gigs from funky Central Illinois roadhouses, Summer Street Festivals to the prestigious Krannert Center For The Arts in Champaign. They have opened for more names than can be mentioned here, but range from The Bottle Rockets to Heartsfield to Tommy Castro to Webb Wilder to Tinsley Ellis to Naked Mommies. In January of 2008, original member, Kenny McNichols retired from live music and after 3 months of auditions, a few months of some experimentation, the lads decided to keep it internal and are forging on as a 3 piece. THAT IS UNTIL NOW, A YEAR + LATER, WE HAVE FINALLY THE LAD WHO WILL BRING SOMETHING EXTRA SPECIAL TO THE PROCEEDINGS. Ladies & Gents, please welcome guitar slinger/musician extraordinaire, MATT STEWART!!
