Welcome to a band where tone and soul are the essence of life. It's about the music AND the show. Demon Funkies arrived on Earth in 2003 with an extreme distaste for the average and reserved. Their unique energy, passionate songs, and always-fresh approach make them memorable on every occasion. Demon Funkies believe in unity, entertainment, fun, and outlandish good times. Original music made with fiercely authentic heart and soul is their vehicle of accomplishment.
The band has an ever changing lineup lead by founders Ryan Chrys (guitar/vocals), The Prom King (bass/vocals), and Pete Lamborne on saxophone. Square Dogg is the man on the drums and Burning Sensation on t-tables and keyboards. Depending on the engagement the band often has friends and guest musicians joining them on stage. DF believe in the importance of being able to suit the audience and mood of the event by either rocking an adrenaline intense set or by providing a party atmosphere for dancing until the sun comes up.
Performances are very animated and sometimes they get out of control, but hey, thats rock n roll!
Demon Funkies have released two studio albums, 2005's 5,280' of Funk, and 2008's Punk Junkies.

Really, just an excellent celebration of all the great people and bands we have had the chance to work with here in the Mile High City over the past few years.... Here I am cheating and using one of the most biast band's I know, blasting the comment board on the Internet Super Highway. When your a Junkie your a Junkie and when your a Funkie Monkey Demon Junkie, your a well............. you know... My last local show I am hands on with before I head to San Diego to broaden all ya and me all's network is next Friday at The Soiled Dove Underground Friday Feb 27th. I would love you all to come and meet me new business collegues and support the show. If not spread the word and we'll keep pimpin' the music.
