In the winter of 2005 Steve Kenney and myself began Demons. Steve rescued his Pro One from New Orleans Katrina aftermath. The synthesizer was moldy, had a bad power cord and a horrible buzz (I broke it after our first gig). I played various homemade electronic devices, rewired radios, feedback, etc.. Later that week I bought a Pro One as well. Mine had no working keyboard and, of course, a horrible buzz (a grounding issue). What we found ourselves doing was not so much making music with the Pro One but rather just turning them on and listening to the synthesizer play itself. I recorded our sessions and we called it Demons. Our synthesizers are still some what broke.

VISUAL MUSIC
Demons evolved from a synthesizer duo into a Visual Music trio with the incorporation of video artist Alivia Zivich. Working under the name "Video Madness" she often used the music of Demons as soundtracks to her analog video experiments. Live performances as a group led to the redefining of Demons as Visual Music.
"According to the theory of synaesthesia, sensory perception of one kind can induce sensory experience of another; for example, an individual may “see” certain colors when hearing musical notes. In such instances, sight does not negate hearing, but rather the two senses interact to elicit a heightened state of consciousness. While many art forms can evoke sensorial overlap, music has been considered by many proponents of the theory as an exceptional source for this phenomenon."

"Life Destroyer" box review
Miracolo.

Bella prova.

Demons Evocation (No Fun) This duo from Detroit made the scariest damn noise album of 2007 with Evocation . Far from the typical free-for-all inanity that dominates the noise scene, Nate Young and Steve Kenney create sounds that are more in line with Carl Zittrer’s horror movie soundtracks, especially his haunting music for Children Shouldn’t Play with Dead Things . You know that really creepy electronic noise music that’s playing when the zombies come out of their graves? This is an entire album of it. chuck foster BLOOD SAUSAGE

Hey.

I have been a member of a Swedish band called Demons in the punk/garage genre since 1995. We have released five albums and a batch of EPs and stuff between 1998 and now. The first on American labels such as Gearhead, but also in Japan and Europe. We toured mostly the US between 2001 and 2004, then Japan and Europe from 2004 on. Demons played SXSW two times during that period. The latest album "Ace In The Hole" was released by ourselves and has no stateside distribution yet. It has sold well and gotten great press in Europe. We have paved the way for Swedish music in the USA and have toured and played with The Hellacopters (they recorded one of our songs for their last album), The Hives, Detroit Cobras and more. Please check out Wikipedia, Demons (band).

Since our music and yours is as different as it could be I'm not surprised if you never have heard of us. Even so you are using the name as we have had since fourteen years and are associated with. We grew up with the ideals of punk and have always been D.I.Y. That's the reason we decided to take the step towards starting our own label Alaska Productions. Confusion can sometimes be fun but we are trying to run a small independent business just as you are. In that sense it is not wise to use the same name. It hurts our possibilities to continue and grow. Plus we might lose money and have to stop putting out cool music. That's not very creative.

We totally respect you as musicians and salute creative freedom. The thing is however that there can't be two Demons producing music simultaneously on the planet. So, what do we do?

Cheers,

Mathias

Thank you very much

We are making music in Japan. The genre aims at the thing of the feeling that it is psychedelic, and only the Japanese can do by Oltana of the Dorodoro.

My best regards.

My favorite makeout spot was in the parking lot for a nuclear power plant that was bathed in orange floodlights at midnight, it was the overflow parking area and was just a narrow strip of unpaved dirt in front of an old chain link fence. When I used it, the ground was coated with soot covered and trash infused snow in the dire days of March. March has always been the month of the dirty snow around here, all the filth shines through like sunlight on shit then. The snow by the roadsides is thick with layer upon layer of soot from all the passing cars, the snowbanks are littered with the trash thrown from cars and cigarette butts. I used to joke with D***n that enough sessions in that lot would give us nipples that could shoot putrid green beams of laser light that we could use to cut fresh apples, to make a kinder sort of "Mom's apple pie," a nuclear powered new way for an all American guy. I want to burrow into that urine soaked, soot covered snow and form a hovel and call it home, dreaming dreams of cocaine in Red Bull vans with drag queens on a Sunday night and chocolate covered key lime pie, staving off the hunger pangs of hustler borne starvation between daily stolen chili dogs.
