Deodato Siquir was born in a musicians family, in Maputo, Mozambique in 1975, Siquir started his musical carrier at the age of 13 on a self made drum kit, he was performing as professional drummer in several orchestras from the age of 15. He moved to Sweden in 2001 since then Siquir works with musicians from all over the world, like Etienne Mbappé, Jorge Bezerra, Linley Marthe, Soweto Kinch, Moussa Diallo, Bobby Rickets and many others.
His debut solo album BALANÇO, that was pre-leased at Womex 2007 in Sevilla, and got great reviews internationally. Since the release, its been on World Music Charst Europe Top 20 for 3 months, on top 10 on RDP Africa, recieving 5 Djembes and nominated Top of the World in the Danish music magazine Djembe (now Cultures) , Balanço has been reviewed by mondomix.com, Behind The Notes, Jazz Special, World Music Central etc. and won the Mozambican national NGOMA Revelation Award.
BALANÇO is recorded in Copenhagen - Denmark 2006-2007, with participation of great musicians from around the world like: Linley Marthe, Phong Le, Sal Dibba, Nacimi Brahimi, Luis Varona,Carlos Perez, Romain Coutama,Jakob Dinesen, Ed Epstein, Ayi Solomon,Preben Carlsen, Simon Spang, José Antonio, Eliel Lazo, Rune Thorsteinsson,Laurent Fricault, Dua Maciel & Deborah Herbert.
The songs on the album are Siquir’s compositions and arrangements written in the period between 2001 and 2006.
The music has warm, grooving pulses from Mozambique such as Marrabenta, Muthimba, and Muganda, coloured with Jazz, resulting in a sophisticated vibrant sound.
Add soft poetic singing in a mix of Portuguese, English and Ronga and lyrics on universal themes.

Since the release of BALANÇO, Siquir has been touring with his band DEODATO SIQUIR & BALANÇO and with his TRIO in Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Germany, Greece and Spain and with BANDA DE MAPUTO in Mozambique.
Deodato Siquir has been supported by The Danish Ministry of Culture, The Danish Jazz Association, The Danish Artist Association, Copenhagen Jazz Festival, Copenhagen Jazz Festival in Berlin, The Foreign Ministry of Denmark, The Danish Embassy in Spain.
Chin Ono er Danmarks mest tourende reggae/dancehall artist med 134 live-gigs under bæltet siden 2006 - både lokalt og international. Han tourede og arbejdede tæt sammen med Danmarks reggae dronning Natasja fra 2003 til hendes tragiske ulykke i sommeren 2007, og har som den eneste nulevende skandinaviske reggae artist gjort sig gældene på Jamaica, hvor han både har indspillet singler, optrådt live, samt givet interviews og live optræden på Jamaicansk radio og TV.
Chin Ono er pt i gang med at indspille et full length album PÅ DANSK, der kan forventes ude i forsommeren 2010! Der vil kun blive offentliggjort ET nummer på dansk, inden pladen er på gaden!
Det drejer sig om sangen "DROP DIN PISTOL", som omhandler problemerne omkring den verserende bande-rocker-krig, og simpelthen er for aktuelt til at vente med at blive hørt!
