Derrin's journey into the music industry began around 7 years ago when he left his native Australia to attempt to make a splash in the UK and Europe. He arrived at Heathrow with one telephone number, £1200 and a mountain of energy and enthusiasm. Since arriving on European shores, Derrin has played anywhere and everywhere throughout the UK, Germany, France, Spain, and Holland as well as returning to his native homeland for the occasional tour. Derrin has opened for Van Morrison and countless others and has always been a major hit whichever stage he graces.
Derrin has recorded 6 albums and sold close to 17000 of them from the back of his van to an army of devoted fans in too many places to mention. Whilst Derrin has recorded 6 albums, his latest record "Skin of the Earth" is only actually his second commercial release. After years of shunning the music industry he released "The Rattling Wheel" on his own label Rising Records Ltd in 2006 to much praise and acclaim. Following this first commercial release, Derrin received attention from Bob Harris (BBC Radio 2) who invited him in for a solo live session and interview and Paul Jones (BBC Radio 2) also hosted a live session for Derrin and his band at the famous Maida Vale studios.
The lyrics to Derrin’s song "Shipwrecked" from the "The Rattling Wheel" album (after being heard on Radio 2) were published by Cambridge University Press in a text book for English Literature and the album also received a 4 star review in the Sunday Express alongside Jools Holland, Tom Waits and The Beatles! Glowing reviews followed in publications such as Blues Matters and Maverick Magazines and Derrin has gone on to feature in many other music publications. Derrin is also endorsed by Yamaha Guitars which is a testament to his extremely talented guitar skills.
His highly anticipated follow up to "The Rattling Wheel" due for release in October 2008 is called "Skin of the Earth".
This latest album sees Derrin hitting new peaks as a songwriter and artist. Promotional copies of "Skin of the Earth" were sent out and received the attention of international Blues and Roots label Ruf Records who are releasing the new album with a view to pushing Derrin's music to more people around the globe. This is what Derrin had to say about Skin of the Earth...
"I wanted to make an album of music that supported lyrics that are very stylised and broad for interpretation. I didn't want to spell out a specific journey in the songs. I have tried to create a wide spectrum of lyrics that could apply to the listeners own journey, not just mine. I have also played some electric guitar for the first time to add a different dimension and give it a slight southern rock feel"
"Skin of the Earth" will be released by Ruf Records in the UK on October 6th 2008 and Holland on October 16th. More release dates to follow.
"Skin of the Earth" is available via the following Distributors:

Friday October 23rd – Lee Rosser + TH3, live @ The Pub, Bendigo VIC
This will be one of THE VERY LAST SHOWS to be staged in the famed Band Room of The Pub (173 Hargreaves Street Bendigo), as it will be closing it's doors on Oct 31st.
Sadly, the well-sized band room, which has seen some fantastic nights for live music in Bendigo, will be closed due to lack of punter support over recent times.
Show Gav and the rest of the gang at The Pub that the live music scene in Bendigo is alive and kicking... come along and check out a brilliant night of blues & roots music besides, as the mighty Lee Rosser makes a long-awaited return to Bendigo!
Praise for Lee's new album “Giving Yourself Away”...
"This debut solo record from the former Rambunctious frontman has the rare quality of working as well in the studio as it does live. Blessed with a three octave vocal range, and grooving right hand the album uses only voice, guitar, and drums (Nicky Bomba)."
Don't miss this opportunity to see some of the finest blues/roots/rock music Victoria has to offer!
