Influences
We are influenced by so many people: between the ranges of Atreyu, Boy Hits Car, The Cure, Jeff Buckley, Radiohead, Pantera, Tool, APC, Rage Against the Machine, Deftones, Social D, Bad Religion, Killswitch Engage, Bleeding Through, Led Zepplin, AC/DC, AFI, Black Sabbath and even Metallica...the funniest part is now you're probably more confused than you were before, huh!
Sounds Like
All the stuff above, regurgitated in a fresh perspective that sounds comforting- as familiarity, but unique- as creativity. Did that make any sense?...how about the truth! It sounds like a big moosh of 'C', all the above! Why don't you just listen to the free $h!t...you've read this far!
DeVicePurevolume
We are now accepting all types of hand-outs , and are booking shows from kindergarten parties to the Octogenarian Mixers...why?... because old people can still boogie, you just have to have paramedics on hand. ;) Note: We don't do weddings, sd please stop asking. Damn! There's just some places we wont go.
In all honesty, we are just a bunch of guys who have this incredible need to take our feelings and emotions (blah, blah, blah) and translate them into music. We rehearse in San Pedro, but play everywhere, clubs, venues, house parties (etc). The current members of DeVice have been together going on 7 months with the new addition of Chip, and things are moving along swimmingly. ;) We like to party hard, work hard and kick the shit out of the guys with a sonic assault, and 'woo' the ladies with a charming melodic riff or two. (this would be Bryan's job...if he could just quit the 'chicken-walk-break-down' on stage!...he's getting better.) :) When we get off stage we apologize for any concusions incurred, and make out with any ladies who are sportin' their beer goggles. haha! No, but seriously- for Mike yes! Coming off stage after a show is the greatest feeling because even if we've only affected a few people with our music, it's still nice to know people have common feelings and issues in life. One guy busted his head open in the mosh pit and came up to me (jimmiek) and said, "You guys are fucking awesome!" then he passed out. Saweet!!! If you see one of us, come and say hello. We are actually all nice guys, (except for Mike, Chip's a dick too!) and love to meet new people. ;) Don't let the tattoos scare you. (or Bryan's lack of pigment!)

* We've tried to be selfish, but it doesn't work. We were born with too much love in our hearts to squander it solely on ourselves.
* We've tried to be proud, but it doesn't work. Pride is a substitute for confidence. And we are too confident to let pride derail us.
* We've tried to take advantage of each other, but it doesn't work. Because we know in our hearts that we are all connected. And that when we harm another, we are literally harming ourselves.
Our Generation Rocks. It is time for us to speak up and show the world how to live. This madness must end now. And we are the ones who know how to end it.
Let us change the world, one heart at a time. Smile at a stranger. Give them a High 5. Pass on a little love every day and watch it spread. This is what we can do, starting right now.
** Our parents are a part of the ME GENERATION. But they gave birth to the WE GENERATION. It's time to turn this shit around. Be Fearless.
