Le 10 avril 2002, Usher (Norma Loy) et Poupee Mecanique, apres quelques performances dans le cadre d Alien Nation en compagnie de Reed 013, Kiki Picasso et Post, deciderent de former DIE PUPPE, en hommage a la poupee fantasmatique de Hans Bellmer.
Usher composa des comptines electroniques minimales, nasty songs cruelles aux textes herites de Lewis Carroll et DAF de Sade et aux musiques referees a Suicide, TG ou Bjork, que le duo enregistra avec le concours de Denis Lefdup et Marc Caro.
Le premier CD eponyme de DIE PUPPE sortit chez Kamisori Records en mars 2004 et recut un accueil favorable de la presse et du public.

Apres quelques concerts, Usher invita Tav Jokold (Body Clock) a se joindre au groupe. T.J. devint vite un membre permanent de DIE PUPPE.
Le 4 janvier 2006 Usher et Tav Jokold se separerent de Poupee qui investit d' autres projets.
AUJOURDHUI.
Le nouveau materiel de DIE PUPPE exigeait de nouvelles qualites vocales et personne, dans l'entourage du groupe ne semblait pouvoir y repondre. C 'est alors que le monde magique de Myspace, par un hasard singulier, vint resoudre le probleme jusqu 'alors insoluble du whowilldoitright ?
Une certaine Lily-Rose, encore inconnue de DIE PUPPE, adressa a Usher qui se trouvait alors a Hanoi, un message pour devenir amie de DP. Usher qui la croyait chanteuse lui proposa un essai. Elle declina l 'offre mais recommanda vivement une Olga Omelianenko, jusqu'alors danseuse de Punish Yourself. Celle-ci possedait, a l'en croire, toutes les qualites requises pour devenir la front girl de DIE PUPPE.
C'est ainsi que cette très jeune et jolie rousse, ancienne chanteuse baroque, vint rejoindre DIE PUPPE fin fevrier 2006 afin d'enregistrer les parties vocales de l' album "La Reine des mouches" et qu'Olga devint "Dollga". Sa voix emouvante et sensuelle transfigurant les titres du trio elle incarne à merveille la Perfect Doll.
Sur "La Reine des Mouches" on retrouve sur deux titres le batteur Hanx (Body Clock) et Chelsea (chanteur de Norma Loy) chante un hommage a John Balance.
Usher acheva le mixage de ce deuxieme opus de DIE PUPPE fin 2006.
Le CD est donc sorti le 23 novembre 2006 chez Kamisori Records avec l'aide du label Infrastition, bel objet conçu par REED 0 13 avec des illustrations de STEL.

et un mini CD "Wonderland" fut ensuite elabore et conçu par USHER, dans une ambiance plus électro, acide, sensuelle et industrielle... avec remixes et nouveaux titres mixes par des invités de renom : Von Magnet, Cricket d'Anarchic Chic, Complot Brunswick, Sunao Inami, Shrink v. etc..
Le tout présenté avec de sublimes photographies de Jonathan Abbou, dans un hommage appuyé à Lewis Carroll.
"Wonderland" est sorti à l'été 2007.
Depuis Tav Jokold a été remplacé par l'élégant Javier Luis Velasquez dans un pur style dandy. Mais après un épisode de bouffée délirante aigue, Javier fut rapatrié en Colombie. La "Malédiction des guitaristes de Die Puppe" a encore frappé...
Aujourd'hui (décembre 2008) Usher prépare le nouveau Die Puppe : A Doll's House avec Art Abscons (guitare, accordeon), et Ales (electronics) mais aussi Judith Juillerat (Shitkatapult), Nicolaï Ada (Complot Brunswick), Chelsea (Norma Loy), Shrink v. , Caro Snatch et d'autres encore...

In amazing, very ‘Trevor Brown’-like cover design! Die Puppe are back with «La reine des mouches» - a brand new 16 track CD. This time Usher (of Norma Loy) is aided by Tav Jokold whose clear or saturated guitars ad an electrical tension to the sound, and by Dollga, sensually troubling female singer, already labelled «The Divine » by those few happy, having already had the pleasure to listen to her works and performance! Unlike on their previous album, vocals and music are now totally balanced and carefully mastered and the lyrics have gained in strength and poetry, being written both in English and French. Compositions range from fevered to cristal-like and lead us in the wonderland of red-haired Alices. Norma Loy singer Chelsea appears in a vibrating rendition to John Balance (COIL) and several other guests (Ank from Body Clock, Y. Reversat from Acédia, etc.) add to this wonderful album. The outstanding design finally is signed by Reed 013 and the ultra-realistic paintings by Stel.

Adviruz is the artist psedonym of Istanbul’s Pinar Gurcan, whose growing passion for sound is translated through her music. Since an early age, she has been listening and mimicking opera singers, writing melodies, songs and poems in which she spoke her mind and reflected her soul. All of which are evident on "Nightly Sounds", an 8 track album which is the equivilent of having a glimpse into a diary, learning of love lost, gained, a snapshot of the human condition from which we can all draw experience...
