DIMORPH, das heißt soviel wie "zweigestaltig" und das zeigt sich auch in ihrer Musik.
Sie spielen einen interessanten Stilmix aus hauptsächlich Death Metal mit Thrash Einflüssen.
Überwiegend im Mid-Tempo angesiedelter Groove trifft auf disharmonische Klänge und vertrackte Rhythmen paaren sich mit Knüppelattacken und growligen Vocals.
DIMORPH wurde Mitte 2003 von Gitarrist Evgenij in Freiburg ins Leben gerufen.
Er war ständig auf Musikersuche, bestand die Band doch nur aus Session-Mitgliedern.
Im April 2004 kam dann Gitarrist Alex, das erste beständige Mitglied, zur Band und ein halbes Jahr später wurde mit Johannes ein passender Drummer gefunden. Mit diesem ersten, halb kompletten, aber beständigem Line-up fing die Band an Songs zu schreiben und zu Proben.
Um die Songs aber spruchreif zu machen und ihnen mehr Fundament zu geben fehlten nach wie vor ein Sänger und ein Bassist.
Im Frühling 2005 fand man mit Lucas endlich den passenden Sänger und im Herbst 2005 mit Florian den richtigen Mann am Bass.
Nach intensivem Proben hatte man schon bald genug Songmaterial für erste Konzerte zusammen.
Es folgten Gigs in Freiburg mit lokalen und überregionalen Bands vor ständig wachsender Zuschauerzahl.
Im Oktober 2006 nahm DIMORPH ihr erstes Demo mit dem Titel "Slave of Lies" in kompletter Eigenproduktion auf.
Unglücklicherweise verließ Drummer Johannes die Band im selbigen Monat.
Glücklicherweise fand man mit Dane knapp 2 Monate später adäquaten Ersatz.
Seitdem geht es mit DIMORPH weiter Bergauf. Die Demo ist ausverkauft und die Nachfrage steigt.
So verwirklichten Dimorph im Februar 2008 ihren Plan ihre 6-Track EP "Obscurity" in den Iguana Studios unter der Leitung von Christoph Brandes aufzunehmen. Seitdem ist man weiterhin erfolgreich am Gigs spielen und spielte zuletzt auch in Österreich.

Dimorph means the duality of shape and this is also represented in their music.
They play a crushing mixture of mainly Death Metal with a touch of Thrash Metal.
It is where mid-tempo groove meets disharmonic sounds and where intricate rhythms team up
with neck breaking blast beats and deep, growling vocals.
Dimorph was originated in 2003 by guitarist Evgenij in Freiburg, Germany.
He was constantly looking for permanent musicians to replace session musicians.
It wasn't until 2004 that Alex joined the band as a second guitarist and became the
first permanent member. Half a year later Johannes took the position of the drummer and
with this first incomplete but permanent lineup the band began writing and rehearsing
their first songs.
But in order to complete the lineup and make the band official, they had to find a
bassplayer and a vocalist.
In the spring of 2005 they found Lucas who then became their vocalist and a few months later
bassplayer Florian joined the band.
After intesive rehearsing they were ready to play their songs live.
Their first gigs took place in Freiburg and its surrounding area with local and regional
known bands.
In October of 2006 the band self-recorded their first demo entitled "Slave Of Lies" which
was pretty soon sold out.
Unfortunately drummer Johannes had to leave the band in this very month but fortunately
they found the perfect replacement in Dane.
Finally, in February of 2008 the band realized their plans to record their first professional
EP entitled "Obscurity" in the Iguana Studios under the supervision of producer and
engineer Christoph Brandes.
Since then Dimorph has constantly been climbing up the ladder of success, playing gigs in
Germany and Austria and acquiring new fans wherever they play.
