The progressive rock duo known as Din Within met in the early 90's at college, while both were performing with progressive metal groups. Friends ever since, the two hadn't actually played in a project together - but supported each other's musical endeavors.

In 2003, Josh and Mark found themselves talking to each other regularly about what they loved and hated about playing and writing music. They found that there was a lot of common ground between them, and discussed starting a cooperative musical venture; different than the ones they were a part of in the past. Mark and Josh agreed to get together to flesh out their musical ideas in an open-minded series of writing/recording sessions. It wasn't long before they realized there was something to the collaboration, and soon thereafter Din Within was born...

Blending together influences like Genesis, Spock's Beard, Pink Floyd, Rush, Yes and King's X into a musical stew, the band's music features soaring harmony vocals, extended instrumental sections, blistering guitar solos, and lots of classically-inspired thematic elements. Their debut album, "Awaken the Man," contains 8 songs totalling over 60 minutes of mind-bending music.

"Images of Eden is one of the smartest progressive rock/metal bands out there today, combining brilliant, emotional lyrics with intricate musical compositions that have a message and a story, something we haven't seen since the likes of Queensryche's Operation: Mindcrime... Be prepared to be impressed with one of the best up and coming prog metal bands in the industry."

Hey Din Within. Nice to hear a prog band that actually sounds like one. Not sure about some of this neo-prog stuff, isn't that just pop? To each his/her own, of course. Like what you're doing!

Had to mention that our latest CD: "ULTIMATE BACKWARD", is available at iTunes, Yahoo! Music, and other fine music shops. Our last CD, "LIFE OR DESSERT?" is still available at Amazon.com. Thanks again.
