Dirty Blondes is made up of the more talented remnants of many another sketch show, and they’ve all come together to do something darker and more wicked than you could possibly have imagined...
A group of award-winning writers and performers, Dirty Blondes provide an evening of keenly-observed character comedy. After a great reception at the Pleasance Stage Space in November 2006, the Dirty Blondes have crafted a new show, which they are premiering at the end of March. Over the last two months, their increasingly-successful podcasts have been listened to by over 6,000 people, and have twice been voted Pick of the Day on Channel 4’s 4Laughs website.
The Dirty Blondes are: Zoe S. Battley, who has appeared in BBC 1’s Blessed and Green, Green Grass; Sally Chattaway, a stalwart of The Lily Savage Show who is also in the forthcoming film Magicians with Mitchell and Webb; Nathaniel Tapley, who is in Tonightly on Channel 4, won BBC Radio 2’s Imagine writing competition in 2006 and the 2003 Nisi Masa Screenwriting Award; and Darren Strange, who has appeared in The Armando Iannucci Show and Human Remains.
Come up and see them some time.

From one friend of Howard Zinn to another — Thanks for adding me. ¶ People hear only what they want, so facts alone won't wake them; they need inspiration too. ¶ This world's evils have a common root: Bullies, liars, thieves, murderers — in market, government, & elsewhere — believe we're all separate, motivated only by self-interest, greed, fear. They want us to share that belief. They use it to justify themselves, to keep us apart, to shape the world's political & economic systems, perpetuating war & poverty. Their power comes not so much from cabals as from incessant propaganda that we hardly notice, implicit in the background assumptions of tv & newspapers. ¶ But you & I have found a better light inside ourselves & our friends. It's in everyone, if we can just wake them; we're all one flesh & blood. Let's spread that vision, for until we do our other advances will be minor & temporary. Theists & atheists alike, let us sing of our brotherhood. ¶ Peace & communication are one subject, not two, & no one can know that subject perfectly until we all do. To teach anyone anything, you must lead them out of the maze of their preconceptions; but that means they must teach you their maze, which requires leading you out of yours! ¶ The outcome of the ideological struggle is not yet determined, so no one can afford to be just a spectator. Join the movement, if you haven't already: get involved in whatever way feels right for you. We must all learn from one another; each of us knows only part of the song. Question authority. Keep fighting, loving, hoping, singing. Hand in hand, we may still be able to heal this world. ¶ The flag of the USA, once a symbol of democracy & freedom, has now come to stand for plutocracy, consumerism, imperialism. Small flags are being sold in grocery stores, in anticipation of July 4. I'll wear mine upside down. ¶ Peace, love, hope, revolution. More details on my web page. — Eric
