BIO:
DIV was established by Sergei Taidakov "Lysyi" (Bald) and Viktor Lemkov "Alkash" (Alcoholic) as a hard rock project in earlier 80s in Moscow. After a few years the formation was disabled while Viktor was completing his military service. Only in Spring of 1987 DIV was reactivated with more powerful thrash metal sound and bloody lyrics influenced by mighty Slayer. At the same time the lineup was reinforced by Marat "Kazei" (bass) and Mark Yusha (drums). Songs "Zver'" (animal) and "Nekrofilia" and a few more were ready soon and DIV performed first time at KSK "Bitca" in Fall of 1987 together with "Korozia Metalla". Unfortunately, records of those times were lost.
During Summer of 1988, Dmitrii Saar replaced the old bass player (later he was in other Moscow formations Mafia and Shah). Then, Sergei Taidakov left the band for a short while and came back, but the activity of DIV did not slow down under leadership of Viktor. Another lineup change brought Dmitrii Kozhin on bass instead of Dmitrii Saar. At this point guys began creating a new material and recording the first demo "D'yavoskii Shabash" (devils sabbath). All songs were written by Viktor. With this new program DIV played at a Sex-Thrash Fest 1 "Zheleznyi Marsh" (Iron March) and after that in Grodno. In a week after that, the bassist Dmitrii Kozin cut his hair and was kicked out from the formation. Soon the drummer also left. Only by February of 1991 the new lineup was completed by Igor' Ermakov (Bazilio) guitar, Viktor Kalganov (Puh) - bass and Sanya (Geolog) drums. Within next two months the third album was born and DIV went on tour. During the Fall Sergei Podrezenko (Bludnyi) became a new drummer.
Recording of the second demo "Mien Kampf" lasted from Feb till mid of May 1992. A few songs from that historical demo were played by a local Moscow radio station SNC brining more attention to the band. Most of songs from this demo were included into an album with the same name "Mien Kampf" released by Moroz Records. In March of 1993 DIV began working on the fourth album trying to incorporate the best achievements from the previous albums. But lineup changes happened again and DIV lost the drummer and bassist in the middle of May. Only by September lineup was stabilized by recruiting Danila (bass) and Slava (drums) from Adolf Castle. With this lineup DIV finished two new songs and played a show in Lugansk and released a live album "Noch Dlynnyh Nozhei" (night of long knives).
In 1996 DIV recorded the next album "Russkii Moroz" (Russian Frost) at SNC studio. Later the lineup reduced again to duo Sergei Taidakov - Igor' Ermakov and DIV was active only as a studio project.
At the end of 1998 DIV with the original lineup participated in EST-Fest shearing the stage with EST, Master, Black Coffee and other bands. In 1999 the next live album "Genocide" was released with songs written from 1990 till 1999. In 2001 three new albums were recorded "Beshenye Psy" (Crazy Dogs), "Oboroten" and compilation of ballads "Zabytyi Geroi" (Forgotten Hero). The 15th year anniversary was marked by a compilation "Still alive" with the part 1 with songs from 1988-1994 and part 2 with songs from 1995-2001.
In 2003 the album "Mertvaya golova" (Dead Head) was released. Several songs from this album appeared before in compilations "Britogolovye idut" (Skinheads are coming), "Rap - eto kal" (Rap is shit) and "Hymns of Football Hooligans".
In Feb of 2004 a suicidal album "Umirai" (Dying) was released. In 2006 the lineup was completed again and DIV played one show. Now DIV is working on a new album that will be released sometime this year.
