I come from a family of Muses and am very fortunate to have their love, support and inspiration throughout my life.
My guitar has been a constant companion from an early age. I've had the privilege of playing with some very talented people. (more muses). I've even had the honor of giving birth to two more. My son, Jeremy and daughter, Amber are both gifted musicians and my best works of art (not that I had much to do with it). I've been lucky to study with two very knowledgeable vocal teachers. Dr. Eve Anne Wilkes, from Napa, who had a knack for drawing out the best in her students and Elaine Reynolds-Smith from Fairfield who introduced me to Italian art songs and Vaccai vocal training. I've been in several choirs, from college chorale to church choirs. Like I said, I love harmony!
I've been in several bands along with my better half, Steve who excels at bass guitar. I also play with my daughter, Amber Estrada and together perform as "Muse Roots". At this point in my life, I am looking for other musicians with similar interests in music. I love classic Rock N Roll, Folk Rock, R & B & jazz. I grew up listening to Bob Dylan, Joni Mitchell, Carly Simon & James Taylor, the Eagles, Allman Bros., Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young and Heart among others too numerous to mention. Music is like air to me. Gotta have it!
