Dixon is a master of experimental and improvisational electric violin, and he specializes in a musical style that has been described as cosmic gypsy, electronic romanticism, and even interstellar whalesong! A classically trained violinist from the age of 10, he plays with symphony orchestras, rock bands, jazz quintets, and electronic DJs. In addition to captivating solo shows, performing with variety shows, and performing for yoga classes, Dixon also records regularly.

Dixon is a standing member of the The Hot Club of Lansing, was a founding member of Torch With a Twist, and has performed regularly with numerous groups from The DeWaynes to The Midland Symphony Orchestra. He works regularly with Oblivion Entertainment, Squared Circle Review, DVS, Lunatic Vagabonds, and Unveiled Bellydance. He has performed at festivals such as Rothbury, Burning Man, the Detroit Fringe Festival, Common Ground, Dally in the Alley, the Festival of the Sun, and the Heatstock Blues Festival; at venues including the Majestic Theater, Detroit's Orchestra Hall, and the Olympic Stadium in Munich, Germany; and at renowned shows such as The Dirty Show, Wonderland, and the Damned Show.
