Born 1982 in London Stephanie studied Art Foundation at the London College of Printing (now LCC). She then moved to Birmingham to study Visual Communication, during which, she lived in Thailand on a design exchange.
Since leaving University, she continued her travels in Europe and Central America. While staying in Granada, Spain, the passion for life that is characteristic of the region took hold of her and her art. Since then she has been working as a painter, illustrator and freelance designer.
Stephanie regularly undertakes commissions, and is happy to collaborate on illustrative or design projects. The strong sense of style that is apparent across her work is adaptable to suit different commercial and artistic requirements.
She takes inspiration from many different cultures around the world, alongside her own experiences traveling. She enjoys making use of the vibrant of colours that embody the vitality and passion of Central and South America in her work. At the same time, she captures a feeling of beautiful serenity as seen in Oriental artwork.
She finds colour therapy particularly interesting and tends to use one predominant colour in her paintings combined with variations in the same colour range as well as complimentary highlights. Colour is a very strong stimulus for our emotions and memories; by painting in this way Stephanie enables each piece to convey a unique feeling to the viewer.
Her work has been described as “Dreamscapes with trippy floral and figurative compositions drenched in sun rich colours that have a stimulating and refreshing quality.”
