About me:

Marcel de Cocq, also known as: DJ DistortedChaos is one of the most active and leading DJs in The Netherlands in the 'dark' musical scenes.

His selection of tunes varies from dark ambient and minimal styles to neofolk and martial, to dark electro, synth pop and EBM, to industrial, rhythmic noise, power electronics, break-core and: beyond.

He is resident-DJ at NOISE CENTRAL FESTIVAL, CYBERIA, DWAALSPOOR, INTONA RUMORI and at SUMMER DARKNESS FESTIVAL (and: at Dominatrix, at Erosie).

He has been, or occasionally remains: guest-DJ at Downward Spiral, Cenobytes, Freitag, Syndrome, Manifest, Code:Karma (Matrix, Bochum), Gothoord, Terra Gotha, The War of Roses, and other events, parties or festivals.

He has also DJ-d beyond the Dutch borders; for example, at: the Mediterranean Autumn Festival in Barcelona, Spain. Then and there, DJ DistortedChaos set the mood, atmosphere and scene for and between the live-acts and thus: for the whole of the festival- DJ-ing in a line-up of: Camerata Mediolanense, H.E.R.R., Die Weisse Rose, Allerseelen, Der Feuerkreiner, Svarrogh and Horologium. Later he also did the: 'Die Weisse Rose'-Release Party in Copenhagen, Denmark; and the Forms of Hands Festival 2009 in Gladbeck, Germany.


DJ DistortedChaos puts his year-long experience in the dark musical scenes to good and efficient use as he is an integral part in programming, producing and promoting NOISE CENTRAL FESTIVAL SATURDAY at SUMMER DARKNESS FESTIVAL 2009 and NOISE CENTRAL FESTIVAL per se. He also did so at SUMMER DARKNESS FESTIVAL 2008 in putting together the INDUSTRIAL NIGHT at that years festival.

At same-said SUMMER DARKNESS FESTIVAL 2008 DJ DistortedChaos, together with Cybercase & Sven Schlijper put together a massive INDUSTRIAL NIGHT, featuring, then live on stage: Monokrom, 100Blumen, Catholic Boys in Heavy Leather and Synapscape !


At 2009s SUMMER DARKNESS FESTIVAL, this threesome took things even further, presenting a mind-blowing line-up at the INDUSTRIAL NIGHT at SUMMER DARKNESS FESTIVAL 2009!, featuring, live on stage; Nullvektor, S.K.E.T., Klangstabil, MS Gentur and 5F-X. With: DJ DistortedChaos & DJ CNFSD taking care of the DJ-duties, bringing the night to a devastating climax between and after the live-acts!


DJ DistortedChaos is also part of the DJ-team at this year's 'X-RATED STAGE' presented by NOISE CENTRAL FESTIVAL SATURDAY AT SUMMER DARKNESS FESTIVAL 2009, alongside DJs Arjen and Bob. Both: 'THE X-RATED MEN' per se! Both: as such, responsible for the one and only true and thus highly respected radio show on KinkFM Radio: X-Rated, counting amongst its many dedicated listeners, of course: DJ DistortedChaos! This threesome will be DJ-ing between live-acts like: :Golgatha:, Triarii, Brighter Death Now and Derniere Volonté at the X-RATED STAGE !




DJ DistortedChaos is the main resident-DJ at NOISE CENTRAL FESTIVAL.

The NOISE CENTRAL FESITVAL he programmes, produces and promotes as part of HACLYON, together with: Sven Schlijper (Kletter) and Inge Visser.

NOISE CENTRAL FESTIVAL has featured performances by, amongst others and just to name a few: DJ Donna Summer, Ambassador21, Mono-Amine, Nin Kuji; and also: Flint Glass, Xabec and Phelios in a more mellow mood; and also: Flutwacht, Leiche Rustikal and Mono No Aware in a more noisy mood!; plus: loads more acts along the lines of dark ambient, noise, industrial and power electronics... and: beyond!!!

NOISE CENTRAL FESTIVAL presents a splendid NEW edition at the 013 venue in Tilburg, The Netherlands, this coming ..Saturday 26. September.., featuring: ESA, Detritus, Fractional and Tapage ! plus DJ DistortedChaos and DJ CNFSD.

NOISE CENTRAL FESTIVAL currently works to programme a further NEW edition at the SJU venue in Utrecht for ..November 2009..!



DJ DistortedChaos is also one of the main resident-DJs at DWAALSPOOR.

This night dedicated to neofolk, noise, industrial, angst and military pop, avant-garde, dark ambient, power electronics and some ritual things, at home at the Baroeg venue in Rotterdam, The Netherlands, not only features DJs, but has also seen live-performances by: Foresta di Ferro, Cawatana, Die Weisse Rose, Miel Noir, Roma Amor, Sturmast and, Naevus.

Plus: there's much more to come, still from DWAALSPOOR! Expect a TRUE ..DWAALSPOOR FESTIVAL.. later this year in 2009!- of course: featuring DJ DistortedChaos on 'the wheels of steel', plus!, not only as such!, but: also!: as an avid supporter, programme-advisor and promoter.
