Joseph Capriati, begins to approach the world of dj-ing in 1998 at the age of 11 with the passion for house and hip-hop. From 1999 to 2004 he performs in some clubs in south Italy and plays with various international dj's growing musically and converted to the music that will totally transform himself: the techno! In 2005, begins his interest in the music production with the desire to create their own music and to play it. He began to learn the use of music-programms in a recording studio of his friend until does not buy his first sound card and midi keybord and begins to work on their own. In 2006 becomes resident DJ of the new club "underground" of his city , "Disco Seven" where perform with some best DJ's of techno scene and here knows the owner of the GLOBOX, who decides to release his tracks on vinyl named "Formaldehyde" with the side B entitled "Microbiotik" that will take a great success and will be played by DJ's like Richie Hawtin, Magda, Paco Osuna. In the end of 2007 Joseph has his debut on Analytic Trail with “C’est la vie”. With this track Joseph Capriati is strongly one of the most top charts producers of the year. In 2008 his releases on Alex Under’s Cmyk with the track “Giallo Canarino” and run to the “Neapolitan techno school”;with Rino Cerrone the “Orange” EP on Loose rec and “Unrilis 02”; with Markantonio “Round Zero” on MKT;with Uto Karem “Agile 02” etc.Same In 2008 Joseph together with Markantonio created “Codice Morse” for Alchemy rec. the label of Mauro Picotto,that was played by the most important artists and included in many collections,and lateron Analytic Trail the techno hit “Molotov” choiced by Richie Hawtin for first track in his tour set from summer to winter and played like first track too at Love Parade! In february 2009 realizes an EP for the famous label CLR of Chris Liebing with tracks “Login” and “Passworld” that confirms Joseph in the world techno scene . In 2009 too has his debut on one of the best and storic label in the world: DRUMCODE,of the techno pioneer Adam Beyer,with 2 EP’s DC 53 and 53.5…from here starts a new era and new sound influence for Joseph! Are known his performance in festivals like Awakenings (Holland),Wire (Japan),Nature One (Germany) etc and in some of the best clubs in the world. Some of his ispiration's artists are Adam Beyer,Speedy J,Richie Hawtin,Marco Carola etc... Currently is preparing new releases for Drumcode and his first album on Analytic Trail that will be released in the beginning of 2010.
Joseph Capriati comincia la sua carriera artistica come dj giovanissimo nel 1998 all'età di 11 anni con la passione per l'hip hop e la classic house. Dal 1998 al 2004 si esibisce in svariati locali della Campania e del sud Italia, lavora in radio ed affianca ai set di djs internazionali crescendo tecnicamente e arrivando alla musica che lo trasformerà totalmente: la techno! Nel 2005 inizia la sua svolta nella produzione discografica. Comincia ad apprendere l’uso dei programmi musicali in uno studio di registrazione di un suo amico finché non acquista la sua prima scheda audio e tastiera midi: inizia a lavorare in proprio e nel corso di un anno riesce a sfornare le sue prime vere tracce. Nel 2006 diventa dj resident del nuovo club “underground” della sua città, il “Disco Seven” e qui conosce il proprietario dell'etichetta GLOBOX il quale decide di iniziare una collaborazione e di stampargli il suo primo vinile dal titolo "Formaldehyde" e b side "Microbiotik" con un remix di Massi DL riscuotendo un grande successo e suonato da artisti del calibro di Richie Hawtin, Magda, Paco Osuna. A fine 2007 la sua prima release su Analytic Trail rec di Markantonio lo introduce ufficialmente nel panorama techno mondiale con “C’est la vie”suonato da tutti i migliori dj’s del mondo. Il 2008 si apre con la “Giallo Canarino” sulla CYMK di Alex Under, per poi passare ad impreziosire il sound Made in Naples: crea insieme a Rino Cerrone l’EP “Orange” su Loose rec e “Unrilis 02”, con Markantonio “Round Zero” su MKT, mentre insieme ad Uto Karem produce “Agile 02”. Sempre nel 2008 insieme a Markantonio produce su Alchemy di Mauro Picotto l’EP “Codice Morse”, che da subito viene suonata dai migliori artisti della scena internazionale ed inserita in numerose raccolte,e successivamente “Molotov”,il secondo successo su Analytic Trail dopo “C’est la vie”,scelto da Richie Hawtin come prima traccia del suo live estivo e invernale, e suonata come traccia di apertura alla Love Parade! Dopo una serie di date in giro per l’Europa per i migliori club e in festivals come l’Awakenings, l’entusiasmante tour in Sud America e negli USA, Joseph decide di tornare in studio a lavorare sodo, riuscendo a realizzare un EP su una delle labels storiche del panorama techno mondiale la CLR dell’autorevole Chris Liebing. Il tedesco decide di puntare sul giovane Capriati per la nuova era della sua CLR e ad inizio 2009 ecco arrivare le due track “Login” e “Passworld”! Successivo alla release su CLR,per Joseph si ha il debutto su di una delle più grandi e storiche label di musica techno del mondo: la DRUMCODE del pioniere Adam Beyer con 2 tracce su vinile “Sidechains” e “Kontrol room” più altre 4 in digitale.
Alcuni dei suoi artisti di ispirazione sono Speedy J,Adam Beyer,Richie Hawtin,Marco Carola,Paco Osuna,Rino Cerrone,Danilo Vigorito,Markantonio etc... Attualmente e’ a lavoro su nuove releases e alla continua ricerca di nuove sonorita’!
