Bio:

Rideon is a DJ / producer / club promoter based in Helsinki, Finland.

Rideon is known as a diverse DJ with sets full of remixes. Usually he spins dancehall, soca, baile funk, cumbia, balkan, kuduro, kwaito, afro house, tropical house, UK funky, ghetto tech, ghetto house, miami bass, booty bass, bmore, fidget house, bassline, dubstep, party breaks, hip-hop, disco, boogie and italo disco just to mention some.

Rideon is DJing regularly in Helsinki at the top notch night clubs and venues like Redrum, Kuudes Linja, and Korjaamo. Besides several other gigs all around Finland in parties like Top Billin, Off The Hook, Misf*ts, Hand Clap Low Conga, Ghettoblaster, Kuningassoundi and Megapolis he has played in finnish festivals like Flow Festival, Turku Modern, Ilosaarirock and Pori Jazz.

He has also done two small tours and other occasional gigs around Europe (London, Lisbon, Vienna, Prague, Brussels, Berlin, Nürnberg, Delft, Copenhagen, Stockholm, Malmö and Tallin) playing in parties like The Rumble, Dutty Weekend, Low Up, Funkeiro Riot, Get Rowdy, Zona, Booty & The Beat and Bassikultuuur.

Since 2002 Rideon has promoted and hosted club nights and parties like Bustin Loose!, Old School Throwdown, Divers, Hekuma and Ghetto 808 in Finland. Currently he is running We Love Helsinki traditional dance parties and Boom Shakalaka club nights.

Rideon has promoted and/or played alongside with artists and DJs like Sany Pitbull, Edgar, South Rakkas Crew, Paul Devro, Top Billin, Manaia, Dave Luxe, Joyce Muniz, Cocotaxi, Luomo, Lil Tony, Tes La Rok and many more.

He runs a bi-weekly radio show at Helsinki’s own Bassoradio together with his Boom Shakalaka crew DJs Svengali & Emil.

Rideon has several mixes out on the Ghetto 808 series all available for download at his podcast.

His releases include so far 2 remixes with a baile funk feel: ”This My Shit” was released in as a free digital promo. ”Fuck Me Baby” was released on the bestselling 12” vinyl EP Tales From Top Billin by the infamous party crew and label Top Billin.

Rideon is also known as a free-lance journalist, photographer and blogger.
