DödsÄngel, which is Swedish for "Angel of Death", is the solo project of Canadian-Norwegian Trish, drummer of such bands as Hinsides (Swedish blackmetal), Gate to Khaos (Norwegian black-thrashmetal), Nattefrost (Norwegian Blackmetal- live drummer), KäftSmäll (Swedish d-beat punk), Warsystem (Canadian dis-core) EX-Skitliv (Norwegian black-doommetal), and EX-Intensives (Canadian chaos-punk).
I have been a drummer of punk-and-metal for several years, but a guitar and bass player for only a few, and have been working on some songs the whole time.
This project was formerly called Svartedød and recorded only one low-quality song, but now with a better musical direction and style it is appropriate for a new and better name as well.
I absolutely live for the most raw, heavy, angry, fast, and dark music I can find, mostly Scandinavian blackmetal and punk, and I especially respect the bands that combine both styles.
DödsÄngel combines elements of both d-beat raw hardcore punk and grim nekrotic blackmetal to play simplistic, primitive, dark and brutal scandinavian "blackmetalpunk".
The songs are from the Helgrind 8-song Demo, recorded in DeathCult studios (Edmonton, Canada). More songs coming soon.
