DOKIME- do-ki-me (greek)
definition: experience or experiential.
Lisburn based rock trio dokime formed in early October 2006, brought together a variety of different influences/styles from their diverse musical backrounds to create the unique dokime sound. In the past year and a bit the dokime guys have been busy with preparing a set list that displays the full brunt of their passion and energy for their music.
In early 2008 the band have started to work on studio projects with local producer and friend Micheal Mormecha, hoping to capture their live presence on CD. At the moment they are in the final stages of having their first release E.P 'More Than a Reflection' printed up for release. It includes new material, including Arise, Alight and NOT ALONE with a new recording of band favourite FREE. It should be available to purchase from June '08 onwards. (at any of the up and coming gigs)
The guys are excited as 2008 sparks a wave of live shows around the country, so far dokime have been on stage with some great Northern Irish tallent such as: speakmango, The Drama Escourt, Oh So Pretty,Five Silent Miles and Heyday. The next few months hold more live shows in Belfast and Lisburn. Make sure to catch dokime live somewhere soon near you.
