Okay. Here's the short of it.....
DON AUSTIN was formed in 1999 by Clint and Larry after the demise of their former band The UnHoly Three disbanded after their only tour. The initial lineup consisted of Clint and Larry on guitars and vocals respectively along with Joe Macchiarole (formerly of Splinter) on drums and Jim Tamulewiscz (former guitarist of The Pricks) on bass. This lineup recorded a demo as well as the debut, self-titled 7" released on Clint's own label, Rubber City Records.
After the release of the 7" DON AUSTIN parted ways with Joe and Jim. In their place came Clint's brother Chris Bott (former bassist of The UnHoly Three) on second guitar, Josh Cosner (also of The UnHoly Three as well as The Dexter Chumley Attack) on bass and Sean Spindler (of Dahmer and Dead Body Chuckers) manning the drums. This lineup recorded a second 7" entitled "Rust Belt Blues, or It serves Us Right To Suffer". This one was released on Gloom Records out of Albany, New York.
A third 7" record, simply called "Akron", was cut for Rubber City before the departure of of Josh who was replaced by Mike Stangelo (formerly of The Basketball, currently of The Tight Whips).
DON AUSTIN has toured the eastcoast twice and played frequently throughout the midwest with numerous bands of virtually every genre, many of which can be found on the links page of our website. DON AUSTIN is currently working on their first Lp.
Thank you and good night.
