REVIEWS
"Don't Wait Animate are one of those bands that make the hairs on the back of your neck stand up - you know that feeling when you're seeing something new and exciting."
Colchester Gazette, Neil D'Arcy-Jones
"On the surface - an exciting new atmosphere of underground music - but scratch the surface and a political satire and critique of oppression in the best possible way."
ArCh Review
"For a one band grime-pop rave firing electric electro - no blanks - Don't Wait Animate!"
Music Tourist Board (UK)
"Strumstep pioneers who fuse indie and dubstep as they perform live to create a genre all their own."
Dazed & Confused, Martina Randles
"'strumstep' is plucked straight from the mind of a "quite inebriated" Don't Wait Animate fan to describe the London five piece's sound, which merges the pummeling bass and beats of dubstep with new wave style guitars - all without stepping into any Hadouken!-styled minefield."
CMU
"“Noah Sparks”, my favourite of their current offerings, combines subdued, depressing verses with dancey choruses and a command to dance and enjoy life. Now that’s what I call music."
Crappy Indie Music, Amber Dawn
"Ah, strumstep. My new favourite genre from my new favourite exponents of it."
best of myspace, Gill Mills
"Stunning"
The London Paper, Andy Jones
"I can barley contain my excitement over the future installments that DWA has to offer"
Vice, Chris hughes
"you should all check out @dontwaitanimate they sound bloody great and are sure to be huge indie + dubstep = strumstep"
Rough Trade, Spencer Hickman
Born on the dark & dingy dance floor of Plastic People, Don't Wait Animate have evolved into one of the most exciting bands with serious crossover appeal. Their music fuses dub, art rock, blues, dancehall, prog rock, folk and Afro beat with quirky lyrics & soft synth - culminating in a buzzing, unforgettable sound!! Their debut single 6174 will have you spilling your beer and bopping to its infectious beat!!!
How mad was that houseparty? Sorry you caught us at the point we were completely out of it. That fucking rain has played havoc with my vocal chords I'm a very very delicate flower today.
See you Weds and let's chat more and more properly! I'm off to lose my head in a bowl of steam.
ps. I blame the moment when the liquorice rizla ran out.

Raga-Z was born in Kingston, Jamaica, West Indies. As a child, he was exposed to music whilst attending church with his mother, Beverly. This played a major role in encouraging his love for music and planted the seeds for his talents to grow. He was also introduced to the culture of reggae music through his father who began to notice Raga’s potential and passion for the art and encouraged him. Although times were not always easy growing up, his determination to succeed as a reggae artist never went away, in fact they only became stronger. In his free time, he even found himself doing things such as creating instruments using paint pans to make a beat to play while he would DJ .
