Dooley Noted consists of four amazing musicians playing an eclectic mix of blues, jazz, rock and folk. Though Megan Dooley (lead singer, songwriter and rythym guitar) Has been playing for over 5 years in the Kalamazoo music scene- currently the band you hear has been officially together for only 5 months. The Members Are: Stacy Koviak (backing Vocals, bass) who is also a singer/songwriter, (check out her original work!) has generously lent her graphic design and musical talents. Chris Miroslaw (lead guitar) was brought along by fate to the band- and we couldnt be happier to add his rich leads and amazing ear the the blend. =)
Tommy Ufkis, the human drum machine, has been playing with Megan for over 3 years. Tommy lends his amazing skills to many local bands in the kalamazoo area- including Branden Mann and the Reprimand, The Waterladies, and the Skintones- to name only a few.
Together they create a mix of sounds that can only be described as goooooood tunage. =)

Dissatisfied with her debut, Velvet Vicegrip, released just six months ago, Kzoo bluesy singer-songwriter Megan Dooley channeled her disappointment into a do-over done so well it doesn’t matter what she might have done wrong before. She’s had it down live all along, and for some of her songs (“Challenge My Integrity”) simplification becomes multiplication as the new versions sound several times better. The new additions also amaze with her acoustic balladry on “Whispers” alone bringing chills and “Take Care of Yourself” sounding like a classic. But don’t think Dooley doesn’t benefit from her band. The new rocked-out version of “Out My Window” and the beautiful harmonies on “Tura Loo” take Vicegrip’s few great moments and make them damn near perfect. — Eric Mitts
